Grey Mountain Shore [Update for Mass Transit Streets]

Description
- UPDATE -

For the newest version that uses the Mass Transit Roads, please unsub and resubscribe to the map to ensure the game has the newest version!

Millennia ago the glaciers of the Ice Age pressed against the mountains and flattened the land at the shore like a cheese greater. Only the hardest rock was able to resist the immense pressure.
After the ice was gone, creeks and rivers began to cut into the harder rock, having, again, millenia to shape their way into the sea.

Today the river, called The Grey One by the locals, collects those waters and leads them to the sea, always in parallel to the coastline, only spearated by the last remnants of once proud mountains.

The region's villages and the local metropolis, situated on the outermost point of the peninsula, host long beaches, endless hiking trails and one of the largest harbours in this part of the world. Meanwhile the shore is full of fertile land that man has conquered from the ever encroaching sea and the coastline is dotted with small islands that house tourist hot spots and nature preserves.

The main coastal highway and rail line, which connect the region with the rest of the country, run from the north to the south-west through the region, but there are many smaller roads, like the one running along Limestone Creek, leading up into the valleys and villages where the mines are delivering iron ore, coal and rare earths that are fulling the local economy.

Come, visit. Stay a while.
And discover your own adventure on the foot of the Grey Mountains.

I'm a bit lazy, so I created a ONE CLICK collection.

@Roy Yes, as is indicated on the right, you do need the Mass Transit DLC to play this map.

Hey, it's supposed to mimic coast protection and land reclamation. I needed to find some features for the edges there and my internal fiction was that they continue to reclaim land from the sea around those hills to extend the city, kinda like they did in The Netherlands

What is the point of the squared water area across the large river from the starting tile? It looks like the map got corrupted or something, not natural. Is it meant for some sort of inner-city bay or something?

Well, the map has a big sign saying "updated for Mass Transit" but I'll add it to the tags. Thank you for the compliment. I really need to get into it again ;)

@Hiramas: Found the solution! apparently the problem was, that i didn't own the Mass Transit DLC and tried running the map with the game's deluxe version. Usually the Workshop tells me when I need a specific DLC to run a mod/map, so maybe you might tag your map for mass transit compatibility too. Beyond that I want to say that I really, really like the map's overall design. Hope to see more content of you at at one time or another :)

xychor oh, yeah. I had that issue when I switched over from Network Extensions to Mass Transit streets. The workshop version kept crashing. I unsubbed from the map and forced steam to redownload it and then it worked. I'll take a look in a moment to see if it's currently a problem. edit: I tested it, it's not currently throwing any errors for me. Try the solution I outlined. Unsub and try to force a redownload.

Hey, this seems to be an awesome map but unlikely i'm not able to use it. Every time i try to load it the simulation engine crashes at the end of loading screen and ingame i get the error message: "object reference not set to an instance of an object". The map itself looks like that: http://prntscr.com/ghwcjd

I have to add that so far your map is the only one from the workshop (and i downloaded quite a few) i keep struggling with. I tried to unsub and manually delete all objects you listed above from my CS-folder and redownload them completely but that doesn't solved the problem :(

Can you give me some support, so I will be able to play it? I really like the unique combination of mountains, water, and islands that still looks quite realistic :^)
