Description
EDIT: This mod tempers with one specific file: minimap1.png. That's the ONLY thing this mod does. If you have any crashes or problems, check out any updates in other mods, usually the bigger ones. Also, if this mod doesn't work for some reason, check to see if you have any other mods that temper with that specific map file. It might help to activate this mod last, and you should always activate mods one by one - to catch a problematic mod on the spot.

This is the original Map Without Borders! mod from The Modding of Isaac. As seen in the pictures, it removes the frame and background from the minimap.

Because borders are for weaklings.

This mod is for Afterbirth and Afterbirth+, since the new minimap1 file is different. If you only have Rebirth, you can use this one: http://moddingofisaac.com/mod/573/mapwithoutborders

Personally, I had many problems with "Clear item descriptions" and it used to crash my game every time after Booster Pack #2. Only once I unsubscribed from it, deleted the mod folder, opened the game, quit the game and resubscribed - the mod worked fine. Maybe that's the reason your game works now - unsubscribing and resubscribing from a problematic mod can fix it.

The bigger the mod, the more problems it causes, and this game isn't able to deal with so many file changes at once. But please, don't place the blame on small mods that temper with one graphic file.

I'd be happy if you could try my mod again and see if it's fine now.

My mod tempers with one file: minimap1.png, and that's it. No other text, LUA or commands. If you have no other mod that changes that specific file, then my mod literally cannot be responsible for any problem in your game, but even so it shouldn't crash the game - unless 3-4 mods are trying to change that file at the same time.

I'm pretty sure your problem is because of an update in one of your mods - an update that broke something, and was quickly fixed. That's why it didn't work for a while, and now it works. It's hard to know which mod it is though, since you're using many 45-100 mods.

and i did activate my mods one by one, i know how to mod and fix most problems, modding was 95% of what i did with Afterbirth, and i had like, 150 mods, but there you had to move them into the right file, so it was easier to fix (and create) problems

i have no other map mods, i have this one unsubscribed and its not in my mods folder, it didnt fix it so i deleted every single one of my mods, that fixed it, but then i tried to install my mods again, except for this one, but now it turns out that some mods fuck up my map, and before you say anything, i had those mods before and my map was fine, i now have 45 mods instead of my previous 100 something so the amount of mods doesnt seem to be the problem, i have removed files and settings to try and find a solution, nothing, but now my map works fine and im just trying to figure out how the fuck visual mods keep crashing my game

Also, it could be that the problem was that you activated many mods at the same time, and not necessarily related to my mod at all. When you activate mods, it's better to activate them one by one, that way you can eliminate problems of mods that do not coexist.

@NameHere If you have other mods that mess with the map files I can't do anything to help you.

Enter "Documents\My Games\Binding of Isaac Afterbirth+" and into "options.ini"

Find "EnableMods=1" and change it to "EnableMods=0".

Launch the game, activate mods and choose only the mods you want. If you don't like my mod or can't use it for some reason, just unsubscribe from it and it should be removed from your game automatically by Steam.

I'm not the game designer and can't control the synergy of my mod with other mods. I use it with the most common mods everyday and I have no problems.

has to disable every mod i have
exit the game
open the game
enable the mods i want to use
now the map works fine
has to exit the game for some mods to take effect or to continue my run
map is now fucked up

Make sure you don't have any other map mods activated.

Booster Pack #2 made some problems with mods. Try to deactivate all the mods, leave the game, relaunch the game and then activate only this mode. Leave the game again, relaunch the game and then try to add other mods.

Every time you change mods the game messes up with the files, and sometimes two mods can crash each other.
