Rename Weapon Mod (B41 compatible)

Description
UPDATE January 2022. Does work in Build 41 (41.65). I think there is potential for mod conflicts. I've played with a few mods on, and the rename menu option stopped displaying. Others have commented that the radial menu to interact with firearms stops functioning properly for renamed ones. My guess would be if weird stuff like that happens, it could be related to having other mods active.

Might need some more tweaks. There appears to be a few more item types now, e.g. I think Baseball Bat is "sporting" or something, so I'd not be too surprised if renaming is impacted.

Enable renaming weapons in inventory context menu, just like bags. Go forth and give that hammer you've been swinging around in the Exclusion Zone for 2 months a special name ;)

I expect renamed items should continue to work fine for recipes, as the display name is what's being changed, not the underlying ID.

Bit of a disclaimer:
- I've not personally tested in multiplayer, either hosted or joined, but it's been commented that it works, however.
- I've not personally tested with renaming weapons from mods, but that's also been commented to work. I expected it would, it operates against hand weapon items after all.

erm... sir this game was made in the UK (TIS place) and yeah... I under stand that it's called a flashligt in USA but just letting ya knw. Not all games are perfect bro.

Is it possible to rename "torch" into "flashlight"?

After many years of playing this game this is still the only thing that truly bugs me.

The game takes place in America. No one here calls it a torch.

This does seem to be working alright. I've just tested a little. Renamed a hammer and an M9. Radial menu for the gun to reload etc works fine. Quit out and back in too, still fine.

I did disable the other few mods I play with. Not really sure where to start diagnosing mod conflicts, digging through the menu code I guess.

mod appears to work fne on SP. Even on mod-added items like firearms.

Damn, I think it's mod conflicts. Need to figure out which. I play with Soul Filcher Farming Time, More Common Seeds, Craft Dairy foods, Lootable Knox Map, and something else I put together myself for a few extra recipes.
