[Mcl-Corp] IENA Heavy Battlecruiser Class

IMPORTANT : In order to use the gravity canon (currently 25 Heavy armor perforation, you have to try :p), get in the cockpit (the upper one in the main CIC), and set the timer in the toolbar to ON, if nothing happens after few seconds, press on the second timer. To cease fire, set back the timer to off, and to restore gravity, set the grav "Canon" to off and the "Gravité principale" Grav to on (forgot to translate them sorry). DO NEVER make a hard maneuver while firing. Even if the shells move to 1000M/S, you may destroy the entire ship in one shot !

To use the gravity propulsion, simply enable the canon, and the Artificial masses. Do never ever enable them while firing, or big badaboum.

Finally, if the following bug appears : I launch a canon salvo, but the canon only produces one or two merge blocks which vanish into the vacuum. Get in the canon room, unbuild the SHIP's merge blocks. Rebuild them. Name them "Amarres" with this exact syntax. Then enable them, and build the first blocks of the shells manually. Then you can shoot for the entire game, and if you save the "fixed" version in your clipboard, the bug shouldn't appear again (shouldn't... Keen guys...)

Good luck, it's a quite hard ship to handle.


The IENA Battlecruiser is the first Heavy Battlecruiser produced by the Michel-Corp Shipyards. Even if its shape looks quite awkyard at the first look, it is a monster of power. The Iena has ruled the whole space for 15 years now, without ever being defeated, over 243 engagements against heavy, sometimes even heavier targets, the IENA was only hit once ! (True story).

How ?

The IENA Class Battlecruiser features a twin Gravity Railgun, firing two 350 T shells at around 1000 m/s with a rate of fire of one salvo each 6 seconds, which makes it nearly unapproachable by large targets. For lighter ones, the heavy turret defences will do their job efficiently, and without any mercy. It too can count on a twin Railgun and one Missile launcher (Completely useless when you have a Grav Canon which is able to cut another Iena in half.)

As long as the Iena was designed to spread war across the whole local cluster, it is able to produce itself its ammunition. Thanks to its advanced artificial gravity technology, it is able to only rely on the gravity canon to displace itself (Forward and backward only). But it lacks a real fighters capacity, being only dotated of 2 small hangars (did it volontarily, check the Firedland class), able to carry a maximum of two light aircrafts.

The Iena class contains two CIC (one main, and one for secondary officers), one observation bay, an infirmery, an armory, a cafeteria with various activities, the crew quarters, and, of course, the Commander bedroom.

The ship, finally, is able to operate up to 0.75G of gravity, despite its mass of approximatively 37 000 T.

It is, of course, survival ready.
