Before You Start
This guide assumes that you have already gone through one of the model creation guides:

https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=849800564
Once you have a model in the models folder, launch Locomancer.
The Workbench
The workbench is the new interface for loading, arranging, painting, and saving custom scenery.

To open the workbench, open the toolbox and click the "Show Workbench" button:
Loading a Model
The workbench starts empty:

Pull the front handle towards you and down to open the model shelf:

To load a model, grab one from the shelf and touch it to the top of the workbench:
Editing a Model
If a model is the wrong size, you can change its scale with the scale dial:

You can grab the model and move it around just like a normal piece:

Additionally, if you click the touchpad, you can enable snapping which will snap to a 5x5 grid and rotation increments of 15 degrees.
Saving Your Scenery
When you are happy with your scenery you can save it by pressing the export button:

It will then show up in the workshop section of the inventory (found after the built-in section):

You can now spawn your scenery like any other piece:
Customizing Stock Scenery
You can also save custom variations of built-in scenery by dropping a piece onto the workbench:

You can then move, rotate, scale, and paint it as desired:

Then save it the same way as custom models and it will appear in the inventory:
Final Notes

Scenery that you save can be found in the workshop folder in the main game folder. You can share individual pieces of custom scenery with other players by giving them the file or if your layout contains custom scenery, those pieces will be embedded in any saves you make of it.

If you want to update your custom scenery, grab it from the inventory and drop it on the workbench. When you press the export button, the existing scenery will be updated.

If you edit your original model and want to update your scenery, drop a copy from the inventory on the workbench and press the "Refresh Meshes" button. Make sure that the file you are loading has the same name as the original. Note that this will lose any custom paint that you have applied to the model. Pressing the export button will update your scenery.

Have fun!

My .blend Files aren't loading in the workbench. Why is this happening and how do I solve it?

This is fucking incredible. If someone really wanted to, they could make an entire railways system with hand drawn details. I would love to be able to download items from the workshop and use them in maps because I can't draw for shit
