(SP) "Soviet Blue Berets" - USSR

The year is 1987. After numerous provocations of the Western countries, the Soviet Union has declared to the UN that it is ready for war in the case the United States and its capitalist allies attack the soil of the USSR or the Democratic Republic of Germany. In January 1987, the United States, under the banner of NATO, has declared the war to the DRG with the pretext of the murdering of 3 US soldiers at Checkpoint Charlie in Berlin, and a large and prepared invasion force has occupied a half of the communist side of Germany. In the meanwhile, the Warsaw Pact declared war against the NATO, but thousands of US airborne forces have assaulted the main USSR soil, taking some important cities. Now the Soviets fight again in their own land against the foreign invaders of the West. Both the Soviet Union and the United States and allies have discarded the idea of the usage of nuclear weaponry, as they know that if one uses them, then the other will strike back with more missiles.

The US airborne forces have taken some cities in the SFR of Russia. In the region of Uisk, the americans have taken the city of Beketov, only 340 kilometres to the East from Moscow. Under the heavy pressure of having the enemy near the gates, the Soviets have deployed 3 brigades of the VDV to liberate the city.Before that, the villages in the outskirts of the city must be taken to work as bases for the final assault on the urban areas. The 38th Guards Air Assault Brigade will move forward and assault the village of Kaldykovo, taken by the US 101st Airborne Division. Once the americans are defeated there, the Soviet Armed Forces will have the opportunity of laying siege on the city and finally take it back.
