Delay and Timer

UPDATE: Added a small demo-puzzle.

The left funnel creates the delay.
The right funnel and the HOLD gate is the timer which starts after the delay.
(n = negated, start activated, start reverse)

Sorry guys, this is less for your personal entertainment but for for my learning. I need your feedback and thus I tell the way it should be with 3 test cases:
Case 1: The regular way
I displaced the button for a reason. Press it and run into position for the smallest distance to the cube. When the barriers open, run to the cube, grab it, run back and place it on the cube button.

Case 2: Mr. Slow
Mr. Slow is too slow to make it in time and now he is trapped behind the light barrier. He can use the faith plate to make it back BUT NOT with the cube. He has to start over again.

Case 3: Mr. Smartass
