Description
The Livonian Brothers of the Sword (Latin: Fratres militiæ Christi Livoniae, German: Schwertbrüderorden) was a military order established by the third bishop of Riga, Bishop Albert of Riga, in 1202. Pope Innocent III sanctioned the establishment in 1204 for the second time. The membership of the order comprised German "warrior monks" who fought Baltic pagans in the area of modern-day Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. Alternative names of the Order include Christ Knights, Sword Brethren, and The Militia of Christ of Livonia.

Following their defeat by the Samogitians and Semigallians in the Battle of Schaulen (Saule) in 1236, the surviving Brothers merged into the Teutonic Order as an autonomous branch and became known as the Livonian Order.

The mod seems to work with a big variety of Mods I have tested it with and is stable.

CONTENT:
--> New Holy Order: "The Livonian Brothers of the Sword" for the Catholic faith.
--> The Holy Order comes with a Custom Flag/Coat of Arms.
--> The Orders culture is Frisian (with regards to the heritage of its founder and the strict "german only" policy of accepting new brothers), the map and character graphics are saxon, to add a little bit of flavour.
--> The Order is immediateley available from any start date.
--> The screenshots are from the 1066AD start - thus the amount of troops is not representative for all starts.
--> Localisation in ENGLISH, GERMAN, SPANISH, FRENCH

This has been tested with ALL DLC enabled. It probably relies on Sons of Abraham as this DLC changed many Holy order mechanics.

Not Ironman compatible.

Danke.

I mean... Livonia is actually a region :D It's a not so subtle reference from Bohemia to the re-heating NATO-Russia conflict in the baltic states

When i saw this i thought it was a reference to ArmA 3's made up country called Livonia in the new dlc.

As I commented on the Messalian HO already: I have no plans of updating it currently due to IRL stress. I will probably get to it at some point, but I cannot make promises or give a date. If your hopes are high, keep subscribed to it but disable it in the mod list for now (unless it works in 3.0 for some reason).

Yet again: Who cares? The outcome is the same and you can read it.
