Description
Difficulty: Medium
Length: 20 Minutes Approx
Start Time: 14:04

Warning

As this is a low priority working, the scenario is fairly slow going and you are unlikely to travel long distances in a hurry. If you prefer a quicker run or dislike the stop/start nature of this type of service, this scenario is probably not for you.

Description

This afternoon you are in charge of another leg of the Buffer Puffer 11.0 railtour using a pair of DRS Class 37 locomotives and mk1 coaching stock. You will drive the section from Stewarts Lane to London Bridge.

Briefing

Starting at Stewarts Lane, you will need to depart immediately in order to keep your booked path. As you are not classed as a high priority service, you can expect to be held for passenger traffic.

Notes

You may have to press TAB to pass the final signal before London Bridge. This is unfortunate, but due to reasons beyond my control.

I have tried to stay faithful to the timings on this leg of the original tour that ran on 25th January 2014. You will therefore find yourself waiting time at stations along your route. Although 37405 did run on this particular railtour, 37425 has had to substitute for 37610. The timings for the day can be found at http://www.sixbellsjunction.co.uk/10s/140125pt.htm

The 'Riviera Line in the Fifties' was chosen for the chocolate and cream coaching stock. Although steam heated, they were specifically chosen because the route was part of the TS2016 package and is likely to be owned by more users than any individual DLC that has similar coaches.

The weather setting should have been 'spring' to continue from part one on WCML Trent Valley. Unfortunately, the appearance of the foliage on South London Network has meant I have had to change this leg to summer.

Requirements

South London Network
Wherry Lines: Norwich to Great Yarmouth (Steam)
Chatham Main Line - London to Gillingham
London to Brighton
Riviera Line in the Fifties – Exeter to Kingswear (For Coaching Stock)
Class 378 'London Overground' EMU Pack (Also included with North London Line)
Class 455/8 'Southern' EMU Pack

I played all of them. Its really a shame you could not see your way to using the one engine and stock trains for everything else. Or at least have one that needs more payware, and one the just uses what is. Nonetheless F2 is a friend and I played all 7 through! Thank you!

As already stipulated in other scenarios I have made that use the Steam version of the Wherry Lines, it won't work. The Class 37 provided with the version direct from AP is in a different folder.

I have the AP version of the Wherry Lines, and it does not work with this scenario. When the scenario loads, a screen pops up saying I don't have the WL Class 37. If I press F2(save)/cancel, it does not work, since the scenario shows empty track, with no train in sight. In fairness, the creator does stipulate Wherry Lines: (Steam), and I only mention it in case anyone else has the AP version.

Another excellent run. Not many adverse signals in this one but still a challenging run with the different speed limits. I had no problem with the run into London Bridge being signalled right into the station; the one issue was I ran it up to 0.0 miles to the buffers and the programme crashed at that point. I have noticed this with several scenarios running into London Victoria and London Bridge. It is probably best to stop a little bit short of the buffers just in case!

This scenario has been re-uploaded due to issues with Class 377 units found within the scenario. These have now been swapped with the London to Brighton variant.
