I dont have a real backstory behind it but its true that the same people are visiting this island from time to time.
For the next island i'am defiinetly trying to do something with the sun and moon position. Sorry that its not in this one, maybe in a future update we can Rotate the island itself.

Too bad the planets cannot move! This unique feature should be somewhat aligned. I expected at least Sun and Moon shadow alignments in a planetarium-themed island but found nothing obvious (like in SuMoon https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=857510589) .
There seems to be someone who visits from time to time, tending the little flowers (at the broken stele with the loot chest near the rim) because these flowers could otherwise hardly survive :)
