Jacobeast's Custodibus Minervae

Description
I'm back guys! With a small (single) special unit mod.

As the Roman emperor has finally seen the light, and has decided to return to the old ways, philosophers and freethinkers rejoice in the cessation of religious persecutions, and are once more allowed to pursue their philosophical endeavours. No longer having to live under a false and intolerant God, they are willing to take up arms in the name of their patroness: Minerva. Neoplatonists, Epicureans, Atomists, Stoics and others have decided to devote their lives to the restoration of hellenic philosophy in the world. Having painted Minerva on their shields, equipped with the finest armour and the greatest minds the world has to offer, they have vowed to stop at nothing before the borders of their realm have been restored.

The Custodibus Minervae, or "Minerva's Guards" are some of the greatest soldiers that have ever served the empire, their cause is worthy, their courage unlevelled and their vigour unrivaled.

Unit stats:

Melee defence: 45
Melee attack: 50
Morale: 80
Charge bonus: 40
Recruitment cost: 950
Upkeep cost: 420

I wanted to give the soldiers a look somewhat reminiscent of the "good ol' " glory days of the empire,
but with a strong late Roman influence that would make them lore friendly. They are
donned in late Roman hauberks, and equipped with ridge helmets and plate greaves, wear
an additional musculata for (both) the best protection (and decorative purposes), and even have pa-
gan shields with a late Roman feel to it. Their decorative robes distinguish them from the common
soldier, and their white crests and tunics are a testament to their vigour in battle: one will not return
without the enemy's blood upon it.

Each unit has, as always, a custom officer and a custom standard bearer. I made the shield design
myself from scratch. They are only available for Greco-Roman pagans!

Coming soon: Historically accurate Byzantine units, the Akritai and Bucellarii guardsmen for the age
of Justinian campaign mod! (Will be recruitable for the main campaign as well, even though they'll be
wearing early sixth century armour :p).

I have recently gotten back into modding, I am still rather busy, but full of new ideas and more than
willing to take suggestions. I will also be polishing up some of my old mods, and have got a large unit pack in the works.

Cheers guys, hope you enjoy it.

Hey bro your work is awesome
I have a suggestion/request since you have already done most of the work
Since there is an eastern armored legio in vanilla, and you added the western armored legio, as well as Desert and British legionaries I was wondering if you can release a mod that just adds these following units to the game:
Western Armored Legio (Just like the eastern but maybe looks different) recruitable in southern Gaul, Italy, Noricum, and Hispania
Southern Armored Legio (Renamed Desert Legionary immune to desert) recruitable in Africa, Arabia and Syria
Northern Armored Legio (Renamed British unit immune to snow) recruitable in north Gaul, Germanica, Belgica and the British Isles
I know I can download your whole mod pack to get essentially the same thing but I would really like them to have English names to maintain consistency with the rest of the units which are vanilla

@Tree: It probably would be, but I have not modded this game in a long time, so I won't be getting to that any time soon. I'm sorry!

Hi Mr.Jacob Beast, is it possible to give the ERE and WRE just one one-handed axe unit? Without the need for DLC. I would be eternally grateful.
