Roquefort Aerospace Research presents its first capital vessel, the Aegis. Forged of combat steel, the Aegis is the perfect solution for a team of stellar explorers on the move. Sporting two fly-through hangars and one vehicle hangar, she can act as an assault carrier, and with her multiple hull layers between you and your aggressors, she can hold up under a battery of fire to bring you and your faction to victory. With her 72 grow plots, Aegis can provide your team with all of their daily nutritional requirements, which can be consumed with feet up in the Starlight Bar on her observation deck. She is fully equipped for scientific as well as battle operations, with state-of-the-art science laboratory and medical facilities. The security office has brigs for up to eight prisoners if you're willing and able to take your enemies alive. The quarters deck has two spacious officer's quarters with private heads, three double staterooms, and three bunkhouses. Two additional communal heads are also available to maximize crew comfort. She comes equipped with two Advanced Constructors and has plenty of cargo capacity, and her ten T3 Fuel Tanks will keep her energy thirst at bay. The Flight Ready Room provides an excellent space to brief your pilots on their upcoming mission.

Note: By default, Aegis is unarmed, however there are plenty of hardpoints onto which you can mount weapons of your choice. There are two gravity generators for redundancy - use your Console (P) to turn one of them off for standard gravity.
