Night Swith: Upgrades/Degrades by eating Dark Gems or Light Gems crafted in "Nightmare" tab.
Magic Affinity: Magic Lv.1 unlocked by nature; has the ability to read books.
Nightmare Tab: Special recipes in "Nightmare" Tab.

Civi can eat Dark Gems to upgrade, max to a level of 2 ( from 0 to 2), and can eat Light Gems to degrade.

Here's Civi's stats from 0 to 2, and vice versa.

Hunger: 160 >> 120 >> 80
Sanity: 160 >> 120 >> 80
Health: 160 >> 120 >> 80

Damage: 1.0x >> 1.25x >> 1.5x
Defense: 1.0x >> 1.1x >> 1.2x
Movement Speed: 4/6 >> 5/7(1.25x) >> 6/8(1.5x)

<Nightmare Tab>
Civi can craft special items in "Nightmare" tab. Here's the recipes.

*Dark Gem: Make you upgrade.
-- 1 Dark Gem = 1 Purple Gem + 5 Nightmare Fuel.

*Light Gem: Make you degrade.
-- 1 Light Gem = 1 Purple Gem + 5 Nightmare Fuel.


*Black Lotus: Powerful when fully fueled.
-- Won't disappear on finished, but nomore sharp and needs nightmare fuel to refuel.
-- infinite uses but consumes nightmare fuel. The lower fuel percent it gets, the low damage it becomes.
-- 1 Real Night Sword (Lv.1) = 1 Dark Sword + 1 Dark Gem + 1 Light Gem.

*Real Night Armor: Similar Upgrade/Degrade functions by fueling with Dark/Light Gems, with Properties changing.
-- Won't disappear on finished, but nomore provide defense and needs nightmare fuel to repair.
-- Each upgrade/degrade will repair, too.
-- Lv. 1: 80% Defense, 1300 Durabilities.
-- Lv. 2: 90% Defense, 1050 Durabilities.
-- Lv. 3: 95% Defense, 800 Durabilities.
-- 1 Real Night Armor (Lv. 1) = 1 Night Armor + 1 Dark Gem + 1 Light Gem.
*** Removed armor and sword. But don't worry. They will come back soon ***

*Nightmare Staff: A walking cane with teleport function. Each use consumes one nightmare fuel.
-- 25% speed boost.
-- Each use of the staff consumes 1 nightmare fuel. If no nightmare fuel found in your inventory, this function won't work.

*Night Axe Pickaxe: Can both mine and chop, 2.5x chop efficiency and 2x mine efficiency.
-- Won't disappear on finished, but can nomore mine, chop or attack as a weapon. Needs nightmare fuel to refuel.

*Night Backpack: 10-slot glowing backpack, can be fueled with Nightmare Fuel.
-- When hasing "Deerclops Eyeball" or "Shark Gills" inside the backpack, player can gain 100% waterproof effect, with fuel runs faster.
-- When hasing "Chilled Amulet" inside the backpack, the Night Backpack will slows stored food spoilage, with fuel runs faster.
-- If fuel runs out, all functions won't work.


*Night Medal: Something tradable.

*ALL IN-GAME BOOKS

*Season of Harvest: Can harvest nearby crops.
-- 1 Season of Harvest = 2 Papyrus + 1 Light Gem
