Small stacks - Pack 1

In 1 collection by Avanya
Skylines Container Brands

Description
All screenshots taken with Daylight Classic on

A container stack prop with 10 variations of containers from Pack 1 and Pack 5.

This asset takes advantage of the random prop feature added to the asset editor in patch 1.6 and will cycle through the 10 variations. With mods such as Prop Line Tool you can drag lines of containers and automatically get variation.

Planned stuff
Container rail cars.

Large filesize/texture
All the variations of this pack share textures, so make sure you have texture sharing enabled in the options of the Loading Screen Mod. This is more efficient than having several smaller textures for the different variations, so no need to worry about the filesize unless you're running the game on a potato. ;)
(Any version of the mod will do)

Adaptive Prop Visibility Distance
The mod isn't needed for this prop to work, but it's highly recommended as the prop will disappear when you zoom out.

A special thank you

@CRISGAMES: So does every asset, which is why I've taken advantage of texture sharing for these - so that players can have more of other things. The texture sharing prob could and should be integrated into the game, but that's not something I can do (and making the arguement here will not reach the devs). Until such a time I will continue to recommend the Loading Screen Mod because you get more assets with your RAM that way. Feel free to disagree all you want. You can use these without the mods listed, but you'll be reloading the same texture over and over again and they will disappear zoomed out.

I won't redo these as buildings because like I said that means no randomization. And I won't redo them to not share textures, because that's just a waste of precious RAM when we have a mod that lets us share textures.

I do not agree absolutely, every active mod takes away resources to the pc you are using, useful or not, if there is a better alternative way to load the models that avoids the use should be taken into account by both the modder and the developers of the game. What this mod does in fact could be very well integrated into the game engine, I do not understand why after all these updates this flaw has not yet been corrected.

@CRISGAMES: If they were buildings, they wouldn't have the randomization feature. So you'd need 10 buildings instead of 1. I like this better. And if you think the Loading Screen Mod is useless, read the description again. There's a big gain in using that mod with my container packs.

For what I wanted to achieve with these assets, props were the best solution and all you need for them are 2 really useful mods. If that's too much, then just get some other containers instead. There's at least 2 other types which are buildings. ;)

If all these packs were in the park version, there would be no need for useless mods to use them
