We've found that the momentum throw in room one is easily achieved by standing on the glass box, setting your portals and then aiming your crosshair at the angled platform 2 portals down, then as you fall keep your crosshair trained on the angled panel and then when you clear the 2nd portal fire, works 90% of the time I'd say, however if you miss it, yes it can be a pain. The 2nd rooms ball manuvering is what we were going for in that room, sorry you don't like it. Is the most painfull part the visibility? (We could raise the roof of the alcove on the left) Timing? (We could raise the main roof so the ball has further to fall to the cross beam) Difficulty in judging accurately when to swap buttons? (Sort of what we intended, however we feel there are enough reference points on the roof that it shouldn't take more than a couple of attempts)
