Whiplash Military Industries is proud to present the Hunchback Planetary Dropship!

The Hunchback Planetary Dropship is the cutting edge in planetary invasion technology. The Hunchback is fully capable of planetary landings and Single Stage To Orbit (SSTO) flight with the use of her very powerful ventral thrust. She is able to deliver 12 self-landing drop pods from low orbit to surface with ease. Orbital Drop Shock Troopers can utilize 8 of the infantry drop pods, 2 of the survival kit (SKIT) drop pods and 2 cargo drop pods to get troops, supplies, and medical equipment down to battlegrounds.

The drop pods are equipped with state-of-the-art proprietary programs that will automatically orient and land the drop pod in planetary or moon environments. All drop pods have both ion and atmospheric thrust enabling them to land in any atmosphere. Each infantry drop pod is equipped with a small cargo container where the ODST trooper can stash some materials for ground operations. The cargo drop pods are outfitted with a medium cargo container and a transponder beacon for ease of retrieval after orbital drops. All drop pods will automatically detect the mass of their cargo and adjust landing parameters to ensure smooth landings.

The Hunchback comes equipped with several gatling, rocket, and anti-personnel turrets for defense; however, the Hunchback should NOT be used in direct combat. She also comes equipped with 2 jump drives to extend her effective reach and provide the crew with an escape if they are engaged in space.

Crew mates and passengers have access to 12 cryo pods and a medical room for long flights. Artificial gravity is kept at a comfortable 0.3 G’s, and crew areas are fully pressurized for user comfort. The drop bay is depressurized at all times to mitigate possible waste from opening the bay in alien atmospheres. Also, drop pods in the bay are inoperable until the drop bay is fully open to reduce the risk of fatalities due to user error.

This ship has been sitting on my shelf gathering dust for like 2 months because of game bugs, so I’m very excited to finally release this!

I’ll release the drop pod code relatively soon, time permitting :)

Any chance of you can release the "Whip's Drop Pod Status Screens v7" found on this ship to workshop with instructions? I've copy and pasted the program into my own ships program block it compilation successful, but of cource errors "Caught exception during execution of script" . I've tried to reverse engineer best I can, but I do not know enough program language to modify it to my needs.

Example: Making easy of adding number of Drop Pods from 1 to Whatever, If you have a drop hanger doors or not, etc...

Again no big deal if not. I know it take a lot of time and effort to make these scripts.

Make sure that you have the latest version and that the drop bay doors are completely opened.
