Cargo-12

Description
For a bit of overhead resources, you can have 24 times the storage space from a 1x1x1 CV cube by docking one of these in place. Plus, when you change ships, you don't have to re-do your well organized treasure trove, you just fly it over intact.

This is just a whittled down & slightly fixed version of TheyCallMeGunny's brilliant space-saving "Pack-Mule".

The ship orientation has been realigned with the cockpit, and a seventh thruster was added to deal with higher-g planets. The thin walls, shutter doors, and LCD screens were removed to allow for easier transport through 1-block-wide spaces. I've replaced the lower constructor with three more cargo boxes.

Usage tips:

If you're not planning to ever move your storage array again, after docking you can salvage both the cockpit and fuel tank, and put in another 4 large cargo boxes for the perfectly-filled 4x4 cargo grid. In fact, if you have rear access, you might as well salvage all thrusters, the generator, and the RCS.

If you prefer a few mobile constructors, three can replace the cockpit (keep the fuel tank - it's needed and the easy access allows refueling). Alternatively, any three cargo boxes can be sacrificed for one or two constructors, in case you'd like to keep the mobility. With any constructors, the ability to activate & deactivate the ship becomes needed, and to manage that without the cockpit, there are a couple things you can do.

- A row of thin ramp bottoms along the bottom will allow you to use the Y key to activate & deactivate the ship while standing on them.

- Pulling up the GUI for a cargo box gives you a left-pointing arrow in the top left. Hit that to return to the ship command menu, and the "Powered" status checkbox can be used to activate & deactivate the ship, even if you're standing on your CV grid.

- The TAB menu has a "Registry" button on it, from which you can get to the command menu for any of your creations, even those in a different playfield.

If you're looking to put two of these together, have a look at the Cargo-32. You'll save a fair bit of mats and cut out a lot of redundancy, plus you'll get more storage space & keep the mobility.

Also found that standing close (or moving the drone close), pointing at it and hitting the P button allows you access to the Main Menu of a CV or HV no small ramp required! ;o) A lazy way to unload I use by sending the drone to it and unloading the cargo through the Devices Tab... :o)

Great idea, working cargo loaders!
