Oxide Blaze!

Holy moly I have never expected such a great reception on my Desert Eagle Oxide Blaze since the release in the Spectrum Case. I was already planning on expanding the collection to more guns but I am super motivated to do so now! This is the first result of this expansion and I would love to introduce you to the Glock-18 Oxide Blaze!

Work Progress!

Something has changed in terms of my workflow. I have gotten a new graphics tablet with a larger active area which makes drawing smooth lines much more simple. Why the hell is relevant? Well thanks to this tablet drawing flames at the front of the barrel feels so natural and so nice, it's unbelievable. Anyways back on the work progress, the flames at the front were a bit meh in terms of projection. When I first projected the flames I quickly came across an issue I should've foreseen earlier and that is the StatTrak counter. It is placed at the lower front of the Glock-18 causing it to go over the paint and I initially had a small flame underneath it which was covered up completely causing it to look pretty funky.

I redrew the flame there to be larger so it would be more visible and that fixed my projection issue. When I had drawn most of my paint on top of the rust I noticed that it felt too much as a whole, I missed some contrast on the grip of the gun. Sure I had upgraded the tiny little grip parts on the handle but there was something missing. After discussing this with my good friend Quzga we came to the conclusion that making the little circular geometry a grip like material we fixed this issue. Besides that I have not ran into any specific projection issue and it was a nice workflow! :)

Wear Progress

By now you should know that I am a sucker for a good wear progress and I also show that with this Glock-18. By altering the Alpha channel in such a manner I have made sure that there is a very minimal chance that you have no scratches at the most front part of the barrel. By doing so I have made the 0.00x float values more special than the 0.06x causing some price differences between these 2 float values. At minimal wear the edges around the grip of the gun start wearing off and at the end of field tested parts of the little rubber grip start coming off. I hope that by this way I have made a low float in a condition more valueable than a high float! :D

Last Words!

It felt awesome to make another Oxide Blaze like finish and I surely hope that I will be able to provide the community with more and more of these 'realistic' grunge like finishes. Making more Corroden/Oxide Blaze finishes is definitely on the planning and I sincerely hope you enjoy this weapon finish! Besides the expansion on the Corroden collection I am also going to expand upon my Confusk Collection and Distressed Collection

I wish you all the best!
