The Newtonian Heavy Frigate

The fact that The Newtonian was ever classified as a frigate was, at first, regarded as a clerical mistake. Weighting in at 17,000 tons, the ship quickly raised some eyebrows when it out accelerated ships a tenth its weight. Capable of accelerating at over 16 Gs, crew members are always expected to don specialized flights suits at all times less they black out from simple course corrections.

Built around its three gravity drives, the ship relies almost entirely on the drives’ power to turn and maneuver. Originally designed as a proof of concept during the great war, the project quickly matured into full-fledged production post war as supply for platinum dwindled. In response of the ever-increasing demand for full electric propulsion, the ships popularity soared among those in need of extreme power outputs at a cheap cost. Variants of this ship often boast missiles bays, extra cargo, or manufacturing equipment in place of the stock hanger bay, though the hanger bay remains the most popular for escorts.
