not really something I'd be interested in using myself, but the concept of the darkening augment...would it somewhat work if you put in a check in lighting that reduced the light radius of rendered objects if they were equipped? obviously if there's no light it's already black, but would it be possible to inhibit light effects that way or would that require something like changing each item's light gen codes seperately? cause if so I suppose it wouldn't likely work with any modded light sources...and might just be too much work to put in at all...
