Description
THIS IS NO LONGER REQUIRED - CRASH HAS BEEN FIXED IN VERSION 1.180.022



Version 1.180.017 has introduced a crash when welding a variety of different functional blocks,

The crash appears to happen when a build stage is set to switch from construction model to completed model

This mod removes the final construction build stage model when welding (this means you will see the completed block before its actually completely finished, around 30 - 40% built it will change to a completed model) I tried to modify the 2nd build stage to change later in the build progress but that also resulted in a crash, so I'm afraid this is about as good as I can do.



As there appears to be a number of blocks this happens with i decided to grab my optimised cube-blocks and make the same edit as i did with the turrets to make the final build stage apear earlier and stop the crashes,

Its not ideal but its better than having the server crash and is intended as an extremely short term solution until a fix is released by keen.

This also contains a fix for the Elite Tools speed thanks to Roxette on the KSH Forums

Another hotfix just got released by keen, This crash has now been fixed in the game so this mod is no longer needed. The Elite tools has not been fixed however so you may want to use Rox' elite hand tools fix: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=905138840

@Darian, unfortunately not, just tested myself, these workarounds are still needed. The hotfix that was just released did fix the 3rd person view though!

I wonder if the hotfix just now fixed this bug.
I can't test it right now, but hopefully it did.

I think you can forget about what i said... Something weird just happened, which probably wasnt caused by your mod, as the the world in which that happened corrupted afterwards. This does not happen in the new one.

Not something i've seen or heard about i'm afraid. do you have more detail? ghost on control panel or physically can still walk into it?

In multiplayer we have the issue of block ghosts remaining when blocks are ground down. Can you confirm this?

Another update, Roxette on the KSH Forums fixed the Elite Tools so they now perform as expected again (they were all slow), so i've added it to this for convenience.

its not the models unfortunately, its the state change itself as far as i can tell. so using a different model would not help.
