Description
The Advanced Aerospace Systems Baron Mark 1 is a heavy gunship designed for operations that requires high firepower over manneuverability. The Baron can solo attack with its varied and powerful arsenal, or support assaulting forces with it's 'belly' mounted gatling turrets from above. The nose mounted quadra-gatling turret system can be fired with precision and power with the reticle alone, or with the strategically mounted nose camera for pinpoint accuracy, it's also equipped with reloadable and manual rocket launchers that can be set to autofire for unleashing all it's destructive potential, taking down bigger targets with ease.
But thats not all, not only the gatling turrets underneat can provide support for allies on a lower elevation, and grant hitting-on-the-run capabilities, they also allow for multi-targetting as they are automated, and can pick their own target while the pilot locks on another. Being a heavy ship, it is not so agile, and for that matter it's equipped with a dual decoy system for diverting fire, and a powerful afterburner wich grants a massive boost to speed as long as there's fuel to burn.

When landed, the access to the gatling turrets on the bottom part is easy despite of the low clearance, and there's an accessible terminal and switch for service lights, facilitating the turrets maintenance and reload.

- The Afterburner can consume a lot of hydrogen, turn it off whenever it's not necessary, or already flying at top speeds
- The Decoy system will only work if thruster damage option is ON, this makes this ship 100% projectable and survival ready. Some hull twisting may occur, but its merely visual and can be fixed at no cost.

- A lot of things were upgraded, the overall design was improved, landing gears were relocated, the 'spine' was reinforced along other crucial areas, overall agility was increased along with more thruster power. New O.S, new action bar setup, better lights. It's a better gunship.

I will update this model to be in confirmity with the latest game build, and indeed add the projector. Since it was created about 3 years ago some things are not standard with what I create nowadays, but i'll get it upgraded this week.

now missiles cannot be transported using small tubes, that seems to be the problem, so the reloadable rocket launchers can only be reloaded automatically by missiles in the medium cargo container located between then, missiles anywhere else on the ship cannot be transfered through small conectors, thats a game restriction i cannot overcome. The cockpit also is connected by the small connector port, thats why it cannot feed missiles to the launchers.

@captein There isn't a lot of info I can provide.

For example, I place missiles in the cockpit, and they don't instantly move to the reload able rocket launchers, nor is it possible to move them anywhere.

Btw, love your mods, have made all of them. Do you have any plan of upgrading them with a repair projector though ? So it would be easier to fix them with buildandrepair systems for example. That would make a lot of free space on Hyperion mk2, maybe could even add more weapon platforms then.

@Hronos47 this model has some age on it, but it's supposed to work as intented, i'll take a look at it see if something is wrong. Can you give me some more details?

Does anyone know why front sections ships storage isn't accessible from the connector ?

Unfortunately no, the mk1 is space only, future versions will include hybrid or atmospheric only capabilities

There aren't many atmospheric thrusters visible, can it fly in atmosphere?
