Description
The Blood Asp has been one of my favorite designs from the Battletech universe. Sleek. Unique. However, as I have learned, perhaps it is at the head of a great controversy of the Mechwarrior community. The Blood Asp is the star player in the second of the Mechassault games. Unfortunately, these games were shunned by the hardcore fan community for straying too far from the original Mechwarrior formula. However, Mechassault was the game that introduced me to this rich universe in my childhood. As a homage to the games, but also taking into account the other, original sources, I have constructed the Blood Asp.

As is my trend - the build uses NO movers.

Statistics:
>11724 Health (With 50% hp speed limit increase)
>1985 Energy
>3067.01 Weight
>5855 Blocks
>19923 Cost (yikes. close.)
>An average of 155 km/h speed (on flat terrain)

Features:
>A first person view - looking around will rotate the view in the cockpit. A detailed screen depicts the mech, and another has a complex leg-to-cockpit orientation marker to help pilot in first person.
>Working walking as the torso rotates all 360 degrees
>An opening cockpit canopy, allowing small enough creations inside.
>Interchangeable camos/paintjobs
>Movable arms
>Twin long range beamers
>Twin top mounted AP cannons
>Rapid fire scattercannon
>Heavy AP cannon
>12 tracking missiles
>The "Finisher" - a high damage, high risk salvo of 8 rockets.
>Dischargers

Controls:
W - Move forward
S - Move backwards (yes!)
A - Turn left
D - Turn right
Spacebar - Actually does nothing this time around (I might make it jump in the future?)
Left Shift (Toggle) - Torso lock. Allows the upper body to rotate independently from the legs.
F (Toggle) - First Person view.
R (Toggle) - Combat mode. This unlocks the arms and brings up laser sights.
Mouse1 - Heavy AP cannons
Mouse2 - Rapid fire scattercannon
Mouse3 - Top mounted AP cannons
Q - Dischargers
E - Tracking Missiles
1 - The "Finisher" Rocket Salvo
2 (Toggle) - Beamers
3 (Toggle) - Sword
X (Toggle) - Crouch
0 (Toggle) - Open/Close cockpit
N (Toggle) - an experimental "thermal vision" for the cockpit. It will only work with SSAO on.

As has become a tradition, the Blood Asp features interchangeable camo/paintjobs.

See below for an image of the color pallete.

While editing the Blood Asp, there are rows of unattached coloured cubes at the bottom left corner. This is the colour palette. At the top of the pallete are blocks that match the current color of the machine. Below are several lines that represent different camo schemes.

Using the Mouse3 button - you can colour select from these cubes. (After colour picking, I suggest modifying the colour ever so slightly - so that when you use right click, the colour palette doesn't get changed as well.)

After colour picking, use the right mouse button on the blocks (that match the current color of the machine) in line with the chosen color on the color pallete. This will replace all of that 1 colour with your chosen colour. There are also cubes, capsules, and other parts to be colored lined up here as well. Right click them to colour them as well.

Even if I weren't a huge Battletech fan, this would be incredible. Thanks so much!
