Description
Since Space Mining Universal's incursioning in comercial space ship design, the company has been settling new horizons for the industry. SMU has established an exploration division with the sole purpose of finding planets, plausible for huge mining operations, for our clients.

Planet LV-426 is located in the Zeta2 Reticuli Star System, in the southern constellation of Reticulumthe. It is a near Earth sized planet orbiting around the gas giant "Calpamos".

The SMU SATCOM data we have gathered for this planet is one of the best ones yet. We have very promising prospects for LV-426 but due to its very hazardous nature, unstable tectonics with eternal windstorms, only companies with the needed infrastructure will succeed.

Most of the mining deposits have already been leased to Weyland Yutani Corporation, but there are still some resourceful areas left for lease. Weyland has the intention to build "Atmospheric Processors" in the future to make this hell live-able.

LV-426's surface is filled with ores, but also keep an eye out for the extreme Platinium and Uranitite deposits. Don't get distracted, danger is lurking around every corner. Beware when night arrives, your standard lights won't be very useful.

IMPORTANT:
From now on clouds come bundled with the planet. But you still have to install them. Here's how:

a) Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\244850 (SE Subscribed content folder)
b) In there look for a folder with this mod's workshop ID number: 923806295
c) Within the 923806295 folder, go to the Textures folder, where you'll find the custom clouds folder: "LV426Clouds"
d) Cut the "LV426Clouds" folder and paste it into:

C:\Program Files(x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\SpaceEngineers\Content\Textures\Models\Environment\Sky\

e) Now start your game and clouds should work for the planet.

@Tomotosandwich I found that there is about 1 meter or so of ore and then you will find stone. you would probably have better luck drilling into a hillside tho.

Is there any normal Stone on this Planet?
So that i can use it as Survival Startpoint.

hyped for weather update of this
mostly fog and rain, with heavy gusts, i assume?

btw, i noticed large patches of vanilla earthlike sand, and ice, whenever i have an 'Earthlike' planet in the same world

@Ace, yes there should be those ores mentioned. Nevertheless I think I might need to update the code. Updates will be coming soon, I promise

- Lifeforms: None - Are you SURE about that? I just watched an old Vid-Com from 1979 that suggests otherwise... :steammocking:

NICE

Is "ore scan" you've listed all there is ever found on the planet or are these just the most abundant?

Love this planet. Some notes for when you get to update it:

-The textures kind of pop in when the LOD changes.
- Doctor O's lava planet Ravcor (https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=6684293289 ) is using a damage script that might be interesting for you.

Cheers and keep up the good work!

That's exciting news! I have to second my appreciation for the worlds you build and the effort you put into keeping them up to date. I feel like a library of interesting planets is something that is easy to take for granted but the talent pool is very small and among that small number those putting out consistent and quality planets is smaller still. Thank you!
