DFC Lakota (Modded)

Designed shortly before the Imperium Total War, the Lakota Light Cruiser was intended to form the backbone of a fleet, bringing strong fire power, and a shield matrix the scale of which had never before been attempted.

When the war began, and DFC territory was directly threatened, hundreds of these vessels were comissioned into the Corporate's private fleet, forceing the Imperium to deploy large forces of vessels that would have crushed other factions to stave off just one thrust into their space, as the DFC gradually regained its footing after the first nasty string of attacks.

Slow to turn, and with moderate acceleration, the Lakota is a brawler, not a fencer. And its shield matrix, if fully activated, will imeadiatly cause most of the weapon systems aboard to cease to function, as the massive power needed is pulled from anything and everything. the benefit of this is the Lakota will become essentially untouchable, the obvious cons are that it will not be fireing back, so this is generally a mode used only when the Lakota is outmatched, as it uses any engine power left to escape.

The tactical station has control of the shield matrix, and can switch between full and minimum shield power.

Finnally, there are several bulkheads around the ship that can seal off breached areas until a repair dock can do its job.
