Description
The Meteor Truck is small and agile unit that is intentionally designed for scouting and harvesting Meteors, however, they function favorably as subterranean deposit. The compact design allows the average capital ship to carry several trucks, making these small HVs ideal for team mining expeditions. I have logged countless hours in these trucks to perfect every feature.

The Meteor Truck features a tightly placed drill pattern specifically ideal for harvesting fallen space rocks. It also sports 9 rear thrusters for exceptional speed which significantly reduces time spent scouting. All storage containers are accessible from the rear of the truck behind a single door.

Like most compact HV drillers, adjust the pitch, roll, yaw sliders in the P menu to maximize your mining experience.

Sure, if you would like to add a third one that'd be great! No big deal for me to mod my own, but as you pointed out, my conversion is for a Core Miner. To whereas your original designation for this is a meteor miner. Regardless, love this machine and your workshop builds fella... Havent tried out your CV yet, but will be doing so asap.

I could probubly make an alternet version of your suggestion and post it on the workshop as a thrid option. I do need to make a core minor and the configuration you suggest is just that. The localized configuration is explicitly for meteors as not all of the beams hit the rock as it shrinks into its final stage.

I have to agree, this is one of the best miners out there... Got my vote :ThumbsUp:

Recommendations for people manually upgrading their HV2:

1) Rearrange the lasers as such ( O = Mining Laser):

O # # # O
# # # # #
O # # # O
# O # O #

2) Move the top thrusters on the front down to the bottom left and right of the front where the Drills used to be (if you moved them per the above)

3) Obviously, upgrade to Mining Lasers T2... No brainer

4) Change the side thrusters to the Medium thrusters (1x2). This does mean they stick out from the main frame now, but the additional thrust is WAY worth it... This is single handily the best upgrade I made on this thing.

Recently refitted with a Mobile Constructer and Armor locker.

Best miner EVER.

I tried a Lady Bug and a Lady Big. Both worked okay.
Then I tried this. Flies straight, doesn't flop over and mines metors in no time at all.
