Incendiarys Pokemon Trainers

Description
This is an adaptation of Lightbulb15's FRLG Overworld sprite set for use in DPS. This is not meant for commercial use.

The original sprite set can be found here:

A full list of relevant credits are hard to dig up on this one, but if you are interested you can go to the above link and fall down the rabbit hole.

This is somewhat a work in progress, I mostly did this as a request, and have no current plans to add to it on my own, but if someone came to me with a request for more with similar artwork, I would probably be willing to add it.

This is intended to complement my pokemon set:

Hello HotBac0n,

I did not make any of the sprites, I just adapted them for use in DPS using GIMP. Also, unfortunately, I haven't had any time to make updates to either of these pokemon sets for a while now.

If you would like to discuss more, I am happy to, just shoot me a friend request.

Hey Ben,

Could you let me know what program you used to make them? I'm looking at doing a pokemon DND camp. With family. Enjoy you're work you have done.

Ah, I see what you mean. I'll take a look into that and try to fix it at some point. Thanks for pointing that out.

Sorry, I meant color compression. Brock is a really good example. In the original sprite set you used as a base, he's got green pants and an orange and black shirt, but in this, those colors are bleeding into each other.

@murphyalter Perhaps I don't understand, as I don't really know photo lingo, but I thought compression artifacts were fuzziness, and so pixelated things like this would have no compression artifcats?

Is your request to have edge smoothing/interpolation applied to the assets?

This is great! Any chance we could get a version without a bunch of compression artifacts?

Right off the bat, you might say "Hey, what's with all these upside down characters?" I'll tell you what: It bothered me that rotating the characters moved their feet instead of their heads. When you turn in place, do you pivot around your head or your feet? So I shifted the character up, but to do this I had to make them two blocks tall. But DPS rotates an object around the top block of the image, so I had to put their feet at the top if I wanted them to properly rotate around their feet in DPS. I left the rightside-up originals in there because there's an obvious advantage to having both options.
