Old mining company depleted this world of it's resources. Thus creating a donut shape. Usually the world would break up and scatter. But the small life left on the world dug it's roots deep and kept the world from fracturing. Some of the old mining equipment can still be found, covered in vines and roots. This is how the world has held on all these years.
