Maintenance Shafts

The Maintenance Shafts of a research facility. Unfortunately, the tunnels themselves have been infected with a strange fleshy mass that grows in the walls of the bottom level. The checkpoint has been sealed to prevent further spread. Rumors has it that the mass has begun to spawn creatures as well...

The Shafts is an infection-based map. It features:
numerous vents throughout the tunnels
three floors that have unique machinery and layout
A large, fleshy mass in the wall of the bottom level
Weapons scattered across the map
An acid pit of death in the stairwell
A checkpoint with two laser gates, and one of said gates cannot be passed as to fit lore.


If you are to play this map on infection, I recommend disabling the ability to spawn with weapons. It makes the experience much more intense when the zombies show up!
