• Abstract Art Parks! Suitable for Office parks or just to offend grumpy old cims.

This is a collection of assets that I have made that while they do work with the tilesets I've created, they're also usable without them. They're essentially items you can use with any other theme in the game. Most of these are parks, filler lots for all zone types, and intersections. You'll find the usage of many other props from around the workshop on here, and luckily, I've got a collection that holds all those.

Be sure to subscribe to the Building Themes Mod so that you can fine tune the appearance of filler lots. Of course, you probably already have that mod... Please take note that most of these things are packaged as "Paks"; that is, multiple files in one workshop item.

What is a "Filler Lot" anyway?
A filler lot is essentially an "empty lot" in the game that is just props and decals. To create filler lots, one just simply has a transparent mesh scaled down so that it's easy to place the props, trees, and decals needed for that zone's aesthetic. In the vanilla game, filler lots are commonly seen on Farming and Forestry lots, providing us fields and trees for those zones between buildings. I've taken things a bit further by adding filler lots for Commercial, Office, and other Industrial zones.

Why would I want a bunch of Filler Lots for?
Originally, when I began my JazzAge tileset, I noticed that I had big problem with repetition in my industrial sectors with my industrial buildings. I wanted to have something that could help add more space between buildings and make industrial areas feel less repetitive. Eventually, I decided to expand it to Commercial and Office zones, because there's also a problem with repetition in those areas as well. The idea is that filler lots add more space between buildings and help fill in gaps that may be left in by larger buildings.

Of course, outside of my own work, a lot of content creators often don't have the time to create growable buildings for all the possible lot sizes between 1x1 to 4x4; let alone the fact that some people want to have more space between some buildings in order to create more realism. Obviously wall-to-wall buildings don't need the open space, but then again, a gap or two probably wouldn't hurt.
