Description
Infiltrator Class Mod

Pistol and Sword wielding class

Infiltrators are specialists in close combat, infiltration and counter tactics. High accuracy, mobility and stealth make them a key asset of every guerilla operation.

Vanilla and Long War 2 compatible.

For vanilla use my LW Promotion Screen For Vanilla to display all perk ranks and columns.

Stealth Tactics

  • Hunters Instinct (Attacks against flanked enemies deal additional damage.)
  • Slash (Attack an adjacent target with your melee weapon. Uses one action.)
  • Fleche (Attack any enemy within movement range with your sword. Deals more damage for every tile between your starting position and the target.)
  • Raise The Stakes (Reload your primary weapon for free whenever you make a kill.)

  • Quickdraw (Firing your pistol with your first action no longer ends your turn.)
  • Blademaster (All melee attacks deal +3 extra damage and have +10 Aim.)
  • Shadowstep (This soldier does not trigger overwatch or reaction fire.)

  • Return Fire (When targeted by enemy fire, automatically fire back with your pistol once per turn.)
  • Combatives (You may parry melee attacks and counterattack with your melee weapon. Also gain +10 dodge.)
  • Shadowstrike (While concealed, gain bonus aim and bonus critical hit chance when attacking enemies.)

  • Hail of Bullets (Unleash a hail of bullets that is guaranteed to hit your target, but uses a lot of ammunition.)
  • Bladestorm (Free melee attacks on any enemies that enter or attack from melee range.)
  • Phantom (When the squad is revealed, this soldier remains concealed.)

  • Lightning Hands (Fire your pistol at a target. This attack does not cost an action.)
  • Close Combat Specialist (During enemy turns, fire a free reaction shot with your primary weapon at any visible enemy within four tiles who moves or fires.)
  • Stealth (Immediately enter concealment once per mission.)

  • Fan Fire (Fire the pistol three times at the same target.)
  • Whirlwind (If you hit with a melee attack during your turn, gain a bonus move.)
  • Recon (Your soldier is a recon specialist behind enemy lines. 30% less detection radius and +2 sight radius.)

  • Faceoff (Fire once at every visible enemy with your pistol.)
  • Art Of War (Gain 3 aim for each enemy you can see, up to a maximum of 15 aim.)
  • Relocation (Refunds one action point when you are revealed from concealment via your own action.)

  • Gunslinger (Take a reaction shot with your pistol against any enemy that moves or attacks within 12 tiles and a wide cone of fire.)
  • Reaper (A devastating chain melee attack where the first melee attack cannot miss. Each melee kill in Reaper mode grants an extra action, but further melee attacks have reduced damage.)
  • Stealth Tactics (If you see no visible enemy for one rounds you enter concealment.)

FAQ

Which cosmetic mods are used in the screenshots?

The armor and bandana is from the Anarchys Children DLC, the eyewear is from Claus Warden Gear mod and the Hood from Kasumi Squadmate mod.

Deadpool is from the Marvel Squadmate - Deadpool mod

Take Bladestorm and Close Quarters Combat. In AWC, take Center Mass, Lethal Force and Lethal. Fleche into enemy pod formation targeting center unit. Pod scatters. Any unit adjacent to Infiltrator gets sword swiped. Every unit within 4 tiles gets shot at +5 damage.

Total pod wipe in one move.

I'm getting a redscreen windows crash when relocation procs. Is there a fix?

I am sort of building a set of classes to play with... It's now down to Infantry, Rogue, Engineer, Technician, Field Medic, Samurai, Necromancer and this one, the Infiltrator.

That makes a nice set of unique classes with their own purpose - except for Rogue and Infiltrator. It's sort of two stealth classes, with the Infiltrator also sharing the whole melee thing with the Samurai.

Do you think the Rogue and the Infiltrator are different and unique enough from each other to justify starting my playthrough with both of them?

Is it possible to use any other pistol mods such as the Desert Eagle XIX or other pistols skins? It seems right now I can only use the Laser pistols and Xcom pistols. The other skins and pistols are locked to the Sharpshooter.

Cool, just checking. Marauder would work as a hotfix but wouldn't support utility-slot Sidearms down the line. Glad that we have the new AP system so I could get Blademaster for the lady.
