Planet types are not locked to single tiers. After Gentle stars, any planet type can appear at any star with random tier. Stars still prefer their natural planet types.

Notice! I am not maintaining this mod. There are other mods like this one https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=950647495 that also open up the world generation for more variety. Thank you everyone that tried and enjoyed this mod, I just wanted to share a fun experiment.
