Most shipdesigners try to either go for a specific look, or battlefield funcionality, but we at Ri-tech inc. always search for the answer of very specific questions for very specific situations... and what question does the "Ironbreaker" answer?

mining and scavenging on an ongoing battlefield!

While this design is not as powerful as other Military blueprints.... it offers suprising amounts of flexibility!
Topstern mounted indipendent mining or salvage lasers provide the ability to mine while the battle is still happening!
You will never have to stop mining when pirates attack a sector.... or aliens come to visit!
Most of the firepower of this ship is mounted directly at its bow, so you just need to turn your ship to aim, while your mininglasers fire away at your targed at will!
You even have 4 artilery turret places.... if you need them, you can utilize them, the choice is yours!

BUT THATS NOT ALL!
It is obvious for any observer that the "ironbreaker" lacks in shieldstrength compared to other ships of its size, BUT!
since this ship will always be near asteroids or shipwrecks, it needs to have a strong yet still lightweight armor system. And so we at Ri-tech inc invented our patendet and visually unique spinal armor design, called the "RIPPER" system. Using our "RIPPER" system, we make sure that in case of an impact just very few of the armor will actually take a hit, and thus preserve not only the weaker parts of the ship, but also extremly limit repair efforts and costs, in case something actually does go wrong!
