(American Psycho) - Patrick Bateman's Apartment

Welcome to the 11th floor of the American Gardens Building on West 81st Street in Manhattan, home to Patrick Bateman, known for his killer looks. While this apartment may lack a priceless David Onica painting on the wall, it does make up for it with a view to die for.









The map while not fully accurate, does feature Bateman's living room, well known from the iconic 'Hip To Be Square' scene from the 2000 film. While it doesn't have a couple copies of the style section thrown around, it certainly does capture the feel of a true American Psycho.


This is my first map I've created for GMod (After over 2,500 hours!) and thought that the theme of a serial killer (Patrick Bateman) would suffice my need for a disturbing yet modern design for a cold down town apartmen for a cold blooded killer.

Special Thanks to my good pal Salty for helping to work out some early issues with the map design, and helping to inspire me with [nonstop] talk of the film!

*As of right now the two iconic Robert Longo prints from his series "Men in the Cities" do not function as for some unknown reason the custom textures I created were not included when I compiled the map assets. I will attempt to resolve this issue at a later date, but as of right now the two textures will remain broken. If you are aware of a quick fix to resolve the issue of custom textures not being inclused with the .bsp and .gma, please message me as it would be greatly appreciated! -Dämon
