Green Gables Heritage Place

Description
The famous farmhouse itself.

Green Gables Heritage Place is a Canadian national historical landmark, located in Cavendish, Prince Edward Island, Canada. It draws thousands upon thousands (upon thousands) to P.E.I. each year because it is the place that inspired Lucy Maud Montgomery's famous series of novels about a certain precocious redheaded orphan. This is the tourist trap, not the fictional place.

This is a level 1 unique building with a 3x3 footprint. Stats are a slightly modified version of the Statue of Shopping. No decorations or external props, except for some entry markers and gather spots. No DLC or dependencies required. If you wish to decorate it yourself, I suggest you pick up the mods More Beautification, Prop and Tree Anarchy and Prop Precision. You may also want to use Move It! to re-position or rotate the house. I built it with the north side facing the street - but both facings could work streetside.

About the model
Main Model 2,135 tris - mostly because of the windows.
LOD Model - 100 tris.

Textures are 1,024 and 128.

If you discover anything broken with the asset, please let me know.

As usual, here are the source files[drive.google.com] for the asset. You might be tempted to remix it into a low-density residential home, but the tri-count's a bit high. I'd be wary of doing that if you're not running a relatively decent-spec machine.

This is probably the last unique I do for a while. I wanted to get a few Canadian landmarks out in time for July 1, which - as I type - is in 15 minutes.

Enjoy!

@makuchluk. I hadn't intended to upload it to the workshop as a growable since it literally is a tourist destination, like the most popular one in this province. But I have created a growable asset if you want to use it locally.
Here it is [drive.google.com]. Add the .crp file to \AppData\Local\Colossal Order\Cities_Skylines\Addons\Assets and enable it in the content manager like everything else. It's a 3x3 level 1.

If you want it to be a level 2 or 3 or a high density, or whatever else (a fire station). You'll need the source files, which can be found here [drive.google.com]. Download the .png files and the two .fbx files. Place them in \AppData\Local\Colossal Order\Cities_Skylines\Addons\Import. Then go to the asset editor and pick your template and load the mesh. Add props as you see fit. Hopefully this helps!

looks great... but could we have it as a growable please :) there's nothing unique about it. I'm sure it was built in thousands :)

Sounds good! :) I am recrating my hometown in Florida and there are many historic houses like this in the downtown, some victorian others craftsman with long porches and high picted rooves. I also like that this building does not come with yard props like some of the americana houses in the workshop that aready have trees and fences that usualy don't fit the theme I'm going for. Like where I'd put an orange tree there's already a maple or elm placed. Luckly 'Prop it Up' helps in switching them out or removing them, but it takes much more time.... anyway have agreat day!

@ Brandon. Thanks for saying so. I will get around to doing more homes eventually - but I'm in between computers at the moment. I did want to do a neighbourhood set featuring similarly themed residentials, the kind that you'd find in the Northeast U.S. and Easten Canada.

But it might be a month before I start rolling again. Keep an eye out though.

Lovely! I adored the TV series based on the books when I was younger. Thanks for sharing this!
