Adding my color theme I did years ago for a game called StarDrive. Only had to change the white color into a very creamy pink color to warranty readability. MinorFactions got a very minor reduction in the alpha channel to make them less visible in contrast to MajorFactions. Quest armies got an almost black overhaul that should still be in term with readability.

Enabling mods always locks you out from getting achievements. To change this behaviour I recommend using the Community Patch (which includes many more improvements):

__NEWLY ADDED: The ELCP allows more than 8 factions added to a single game. This makes it possible to play a game with every faction being included once (13 players). In total it allows to play a game with 15 factions.

For that reason more colors have been added to this mod. They are based on its own version from Endless Space 2 where more colors were needed because of its additional players (12 players in total).

If you only play with 8 factions no color of the mods previous version was changed (the autoselected order stays the same). For a game with all 13 factions all new faction colors are added, plus the one used for pirates in Endless Space 2. For a game with 14 or 15 factions two additional colors are added, they are used for the neutral parties in Endless Space 2 (minor/civil factions). In general the last two colors serve more as a backup pool if these slots are really needed.
