Description
As far as I can tell, still works for 2.0. Let me know if that isn't the case.

The old Salarian Union portrait mod by Yoshy's Island, updated. I did not extensively test it, but it seems to work. Let me know if there is something wrong with it, but keep in mind I am not a modder, just a guy who fiddles around with text files.

Original description:

Includes custom outfit for each leader type/pop. Slightly animated.

This is a first attempt at a mod to introduce the Salarians from Mass Effect into Stellaris.

It includes a species description, as well as themed leader and planet names (taken from the Mass Effect wiki). Custom portraits use idle animations from humans. I don't know how to use maya, so I can't add my own.

Uses custom clothing options,1 for each: Governer, Scientist, Admiral, General, Surface Pop.

Credit for pretty much everything goes to Yoshy's Island, all I did was reformat some stuff, with a couple small edits.

After much wailing and gnashing of teeth, finally got this mod to work again. I haven't actually playtested it but the prescripted empire comes up on the list again so I'm assuming it works. I'm going to take a break before updating my other mods, but I will get to it eventually. Also, you need the 1.8.1 beta, won't work without it.

I'm still around. Currently all custom species are broken thanks to the new update, but an official fix for that is supposed to arrive in the next week or so AFAIK. Once that happens my mods -should- still work.

I'm currently doing an unmodded playthrough so I'm not actually testing this stuff, but if there are any update problems or people get too annoyed with the "mods out of date" message I'll fix it at some point.

That's a whole different ballgame. That's 3d modelling and stuff, waaaaaaay outside my expertise. I'm struggling just to learn events, haha.

Since you want to work on the Turians... if you have some spare time, mind if you can manage to create their ships too?

I considered the portrait selection thing a minor issue, but since you asked I looked into it and it seems you can't add a custom portrait into a vanilla species class. That's mildly annoying, but it is an easy fix (literally changing one word in a text file). Should be up sometime tomorrow.

Hey i dont know if you noticed it or your working on updating this still but the portraits dont appear in the portrait selection.
but their defalt race appers in the race selection
you should ask someone with experiance with adding portraits because somethings may have changed.
this is also the same with the krogans.

@Casper I'm glad you like it. I'm a big fan of Mass Effect, I thought it would be a waste to let all these great assets people have already made collect dust. I'm working on updating the Krogan and Turian mods, the Krogan one at least should be out soon.
