2002 Physcannon for Super Gravity Gun

Description

Back in 2002, the Gravity Gun, or Physics Cannon had a completely different shape compared to the one in the final game. However, besides an ultra blurry screenshot from a keynote, not much was known about this variant. Back in Late Summer/Early Fall of 2016, on the Half-Life 2 Cut Content V2 Facepunch Forum Thread, a user by the name of PelPix123 had showcased a screenshot of a placeholder image from this variant. It was a few days later that another online user by the name of OddDoc had uploaded screenshots of the first-person viewmodel complete with full textures. Shortly afterwards, he released the files to the public. Since then, a group of users including Sgt. Headcrab had fixed the model up to work as a reskin for the Gravity Gun in HL2. The group also added a recreation of the Placeholder textures shown by PelPix. Since then I have ported the models/skins to Synergy.

This is completely replaces the First-Person Viewmodel of the Super Gravity Gun with the 2002 Physcannon leaked by OddDoc. However, this does NOT replace the World Model/Third-Person Viewmodel (as it is unknown what it would have looked like). This is even complete with a sound from the Half-Life 2 Leak that plays when you use your primary fire key. This works on it's own (it doesn't require the 2002 Gravity Gun reskin, but it can work alongside it [so there shouldn't be any conflicting lines of code]).

Screenshots and what they are of:
  • Screenshot 1 is of the original ultra-blurry keynote image of the 2002 Physcannon variant
  • Screenshot 2 is of the image OddDoc released following PelPix123's post
  • The Rest are of the reskin working in-game.
