Description
Trains
Trains is a popular deck-building game by designer Hisashi Hayashi published by AEG where 2-4 players take on the role of capitalists racing to streak cities and landscapes with their brand of steel. Lay rails, build stations, construct attractions, modernize your trains, and accumulate waste! Playtime of 45min, works best with 3+ players.

This mod introduces custom assets, glossy cards, new maps,
and a scripted setup courtesy of Gikerl .

Can you add my Sardinia map too? You can find it in the BGG files. :first_star:

Ahaha, I just discovered that you included my Switzerland map in your mod. Good work! :)

@Pendragon Updated the mod to have fresh maps! No more broken links.

Not sure how much support this mod is still getting (thanks for your orginal work btw!) but most of the alternate board images are unfortunately broken links. Any chance of updating those, or letting me know where the images are to host locally?

Hi, wanted you know that your mod has been added to my collection: Board Game Geek - BGG - May 2020 - Best Mod for each of the Top 500 Rated Games. Collection here: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2086043930

The collection used this priority system:

1. Mod's Files Availability: Mod with all/most files still available for download
2. Feature completeness: Mod with greatest inclusion of expansions and/or promos available for the board game title
2. Scripting: Mod with scripting that most reduces work in setup/play for players
3. Component Quality: Mod with the best visuals/usability in terms of component quality
4. Table Setup/Ambiance: Mod with the best immersion with table, background, and other modeling.

Please also note that a mod that makes selection for this list very well could be one in which the mod author borrowed the majority of assets from another workshop listing, so full thanks to all who worked on a mod.

Thanks for your hard work!

Thanks for the comment. Unfortunatly I lost all the asset files for the cards when my hard drive crashed, and I don't have access to the expansion deck, so its unlikely I'll be making a rising sun expansion. Likewise I lack the technical skills to setup a scripted turn.

"Draw and Discard Mat" by MrStump was the mod/tool I was thinking of before. If you're looking for ways to make the game more streamlined and can get permission to use it, that bit of kit would help immensely.

Also, any word on if you'll also be including the Rising Sun expansion pack at any point?
