I've made the changes you suggested and think it definitely looks better now! Also, I had no idea about the shinyness values, thanks for the tip!

Pretty nice job! Jason has someone to fight :P
A few suggestions:
Maybe darken the hair a bit?
And tone down the shinyness of the clothes and shoes? You can do that by clicking on H1 to the right of a layer like here:
