On toolbar #2 you need to have the outer rotors onlocked and the inner rotors locked when the Nacelles are in flight more (this is the opposite case when you want to fold the wings).
Then go to toolbar #9. All the timer blocks light up in correspodence with the timer you press.
Turn Timer block 1 on and it will start the thruster vector script. If you find that you want to stay fixed and not roll, turn Timer Block 4 on.
For aircraft lights, they're generally limited in number. I'd suggest (per side) 1 on the nose and 1 on the end of the "helicopter" engine nacelle. On the tail should instead be a white strobe light called an anti-collision light, or anti-k for short, instead of a green or red light.
