Published v.605

-Removed cast speed from the charge bonuses, and added movement speed in its place. Requires a reroll to take effect.
-Added a working tooltip to the charge bar, explaining how it works and showing the current bonuses. If this doesn't work for you, a reroll will do the trick.
-Chilblains now requires a staff or wand.
-Withering Touch now requires a melee weapon. Either hand, and staves count too.

-Abyssal Gaze is now set up differently behind the scenes, which allows me to give you a visual and audio cue that you have enough charge to cast it. I'm 99% sure this requires a reroll. It might work if you use a potion of respec and put points into the new Gaze, but I can't promise anything.
If you happen to notice any differences between the "skill bar" and "skill tree" versions of Abyssal Gaze, or if the new indicator ever lies to you, please let me know.

Published v.569

-Added Withering Touch
-Added all ranks of Tentacle Lash and Brain Sap
-Brain Sap renamed Abyssal Gaze. Now hits all enemies in a narrow cone, and consumes charge even if you don't hit anything. Each tier reduces the charge cost.
-Charge now builds and drains much faster. The mana penalty at high charge has been increased, but charge now increases its own decay rate, so your mana pool (and mana regeneration) will return to normal much more quickly than before. This also makes melee builds feel more frantic, since they thrive on high charge.

Published v.507

Added Tentacle Lash - Give them the pimp hand! Er, tentacle. Knocks back and dazes enemies in a wide arc and generates a LOT of charge. First level only for now.
Added Brain Sap - Force your growing insanity upon a foe, dealing damage and causing them to flee in terror. As your mental clarity returns, you regenerate some mana. No mana cost, instead it costs 33% charge. Just one rank for now.
Added Chilblains - Your ice and poison DoTs gain an effect that amplifies damage taken from the other element. Currently works on Void Barrage, Miasma, and Umbra.

-Added a Charge mechanic for early testing: Nethermancer charge is basically a "sanity" meter. The nether's mutating energy builds within you as you fight, granting up to 20% attack speed, cast speed, and damage reduction. However, this energy also takes a heavy toll on your mental state, shrinking your mana pool by up to 50%.

Skills will generate charge at wildly different rates, depending on what charge level they find most comfortable. Eldritch skills tend to have higher mana costs but generate little if any charge, while Plague and Flesh skills will have lower mana costs but generate larger amounts of charge. Flesh in particular will have ways to sidestep the lack of mana, most likely through mana leech or by consuming charge instead of mana.

So essentially, you're on a sliding scale between Nethermancer and Nether-thrall Lasher. Hopefully it feels good as the class grows.

Currently, charge only reduces your base mana pool, meaning stacking +max mana or +Focus will negate the downsides pretty quickly. We'll see how that works out. In the future, there will be more skills and passives to help control your charge level or grant benefits that help make up for the downsides of high/low charge. For now, be sure to grab Brain Sap or a mana leeching weapon.

-Miasma: enfeebling effect changed to a chance to poison
-Carrion Call: Netherlings now deal half-physical half-poison damage at all ranks, tier 1 bonus changed to 33% faster Netherlings

Published v.366

Added Umbra! - Those green nether pustules passively grow on your shield. When you block an attack, they burst into a nova of blinding poison. Has a cooldown between procs.

-Vacuum's slow is now a tier bonus (T1=50%, T2=99%), pull strength now scales with tier
-Miasma: debuff duration now scales by default, dropped size bonus to tier 1 and added "now reduces All damage", tier 2 now adds a chance to charm

Update: 5 Apr, 2013 @ 7:33pm

Published v.271

-Graphical changes to Vacuum and Miasma
-Fixed Miasma's hitbox, it feels way better now
-If Carrion Call's tier 3 bonus wasn't working properly, it is now
