Changelog - March 15, 2021 Update

SAVE GAME COMPATIBLE

General
- Added more socii units to Roman Republic custom battle roster.
- Added new large icons to Rome, replacing most of the carryovers from RTW.
- Fixed an issue where bronze and silver coinage had switched places on the mint roster.
- Increased naval atillery damage to match land artillery
- New roman panel UI - Can better see text

Maps
- Fixed field forts for Greeks, Easterns, and Barbarians - Forts are now available for all cultures
- Fixed some Illyrian and Dacian settlement maps with no river
- Map upgrades and culture changing: Fixed numerous issues with maps not switching to proper culture after conquering, (barb to roman, roman to barb) that causes siege towers not properly built (short or tall). Now once you upgrade your main line settlement on your conquered settlement, map will be switched to proper culture and wall heights.
- Fixed a bad Greek port in Asia
- Fixed missing walls for Romans and barbs - conflict with the blood pack originally
- New Greek & Roman River city map - generic - Added to Hispalis and Ancrya
- Fix to barbarian gates not taking damage - Now have normal damage

Audio Fixes
- Glory to Rome - Merc Greek Ballista
- Rome is mother to us all - Merc Greek Ballista
- Roma invicta Cretan Archers - Pergamese unit
- Raiders of Rome - Pergamese fleet when raiding
- Hex fix for battle deployment audio
- Removed a weird click noise at the start from one campaign track

SAVE GAME COMPATIBLE

- Fixed Dacian, Illyrian and Thracian Entertainment building - can now be constructed
- Fixed a few agent traits
- Fixed some Roman main buildings, where the autonomy modifier (penalty to income) did not previously apply as intended
- Fixed error where starting vassals couldn't be annexed (unfortunately requires a new campaign to take effect)
- Rebalanced autoresolve for ramming and melee ships and transport ships to be more realistic
- Fixed Briton male faction leader being Boudica in battle, will be himself now
- Slightly reduced players unit upkeep in decisive difficulty mode
- reduced pikemen missile block chance by 10%
- Removed a significant number of nations from Lucky Nations script
- fixed units not running if routed using guard mode and disable AI use (Cannot be used in Custom battle now, only way to disable the AI)
- reduced the three +2 loyalty effects from kushite tech tree to plus +1 each, so max +3 not max +6
- added two new edicts for mementomoria to implement eventually
- reduced unit upkeep on casual difficulty to make it easier.
- added a base growth of 2 to all settlements
- Removed more shouts with "Rome" in on Greek factions
- Small fixes to Syracuse battlemap
- Another fix for hispalis - this is a placeholder map as we are still in need of the final Hispalis map.
- Germanic UI fix - Was not able to show text in full

- Fixed a faction name spelling error
- Lowered barracks level for recruiting Socii Extraordinarii (Previously too high and wouldnt be unlocked until reforms had upgraded past the use of Socii)
- Added Guard mode to all units
- Changed Cretan Thorakitai unit card
- Fixed bug where some effects from character skills would not apply to the bodyguard despite the tooltip saying so
- Reworked effects of most character skills (nerfed most skills slightly; removed some debuffs from certain skills)
- New icon for Parthian & Armenian chapter objectives
- Changed 'Sanitation from events' to just 'Sanitation', as it is used by characters
- Fixed forever rolling throwing sticks/axes
- Reduced +5 squalor from African Urbanisation tech to +2
- Reduced the massive +50 base food from Enclosed Pastures tech to +15
- Added in two missing building chains for Black Sea State factions: Tax Collector and Governor's Palace
- Increased the corruption (administrative costs) from empire size slightly, making Governor's Palace/Court of Law a more attractive building option
- Increased the corruption reduction bonus from Governor's Palace/Court of Law from -6%/-12%/-18% to -10%/-20%/-30%
- shortened descriptions for techs, but with Ptolemaic left unchanged.
- Increased building auto-repair to 20% per turn (Needs feedback)
- Allowed battle camera to go even lower
- buffed Law and Order edict
- The following shouts in battle have been replaced so greek factions don't shout Rome, "attack for rome", "victory for rome", "in the name of rome", "rome is mother to us all".
- Removed edict effects from Thracian & Illyrian main chain buildings (Should all come from secondary buildings)
- Fixed Thracian level 5 temple having less cultural influence than previous level
- Fixed desert faction military tradition Marksmanship. Level 2 now gives improved bonuses
- Fixed 'Local Government' and 'Tribal Council' buildings for Thracian and Illyrian factions that were missing in previous versions
- Fixed faulty effect scopes for some ancillaries, with effects previously not applying to bodyguard units
- Rhodes battlemap fixed and revamped once more - pathfinding, caputure points, walls - Added more vegitation and rearranged some layouts.
- Fixed portraits for african wives and children

General Changes
- Change to a battle song for barbarians
- Fixed a spelling error in pol power descriptions

Bug fixes
- Corrected missing large image for the horde leadership (main) building
- Fixed missing culture bonus for Hellenistic, Greek, Egyptian and Black Sea State capital buildings

Balancing
- Removed 'Temple Offerings' income bonus from Temples
- Removed additional (hidden) conversion cost some main settlement chains had on buildings, that would cause exorbitant prices to convert buildings in some scenarios
- Removed reduction to player faction's culture from regional effect bundles-
- Reduced current reduction of port building cost (factionwide) from certain temples from -4/-8/-12% down to -1/-2/-3%

Other
- Added in new descriptions for the Political Power effects


Battlemap/Siege Updates
- Rhodes - Complete overhaul - added cliffs, vegitation, corrected walls, fixed escalation, corrected some towers, new capture location, and pathfinding

General Changes
- Cleaned up faction description texts on campaign selection screen
- Added speed and combat penalties in battles to forced march stance
- A few campaign music corrections and removing some Attila leftovers.
- Corrected Ptolemy textures


Battlemap/Siege Updates
- Some Mid Eastern/Greek city updated to larger cities
- Nicomedia - Corrected rotation
- Ancrya - replaced with proper map
- Carthgo Nova - expanded access at the walls - Victory point at the temple - Escalation fixes that cause towers missing - landing zone only in city for the AI - adding go zone to try and prioritize landing
- Antioch - Adjusted deployment areas for AI - Added land bridge over north river - can now access hilly forest and fight in there area; this may have caused lag in battles previously.

ANCIENT EMPIRES 2.0

This update includes an extensive number of fixes, tweaks, and general improvements, even more than this changelog actually records. The most significant ones are
