"The Extermination Update"

Additions
  • New weapon: the Plague Rifle!
    • Slow to fire and very weak, but delivers infection to unarmored victims.
    • Hit the head or the torso for a much deadlier effect.
  • Crippling: Shoot infected in the legs to slow them permanently.
  • VJ Base support! Most human NPCs will interact properly with infected, but stability isn't guaranteed.
Tweaks
  • Changes to climbing:
    • Infected will try to climb over props that they can't nudge or break, and will always continue climbing until they reach the top.
    • Infected that have had one or both of their arms broken cannot climb.
    • Infected can now jump off of smaller heights.
  • Resized the unique kill icon.
Fixes
  • Fixed many cross-mod conflicts involving the Infect variable.
  • General optimization.
  • Blood stains on risen NPCs are now much more notable.
  • Fixed Lua errors from gas mask filters.
  • Fixed NPCs being unable to be colored with the toolgun.
  • Revamped contagion math; can no longer reduce host infection.

Features
  • Custom model support!
    • Enable with the convar ba_altmodels.
    • To add your own zombie models, open garrysmod/data/ba_altmodels and copy model names into the file.
    • Zombies can also be identified as female by their model name. Female zombies have new, unique sounds!
    • By default, Infected Citizens models are set up. You will need to download them seperately.
  • Surrounding Behavior: Instead of running at their target, zombies will try to move to a random position close to them before closing in. Less conga lines, more horror.
  • Improvements to climbing: Zombies can jump back down from ledges and objects they climbed before, and can climb to get to corpses.
  • Kill icons for most Bio-Annihilation virus sources.
Fixes
  • Zombies' slash attack now reaches farther downward, allowing them to break low barricades such as crates.
  • Optimization changes.
  • Minor bug fixes.

"A Zombie's Favorite Holiday"
Features
  • Many improvements to infected!
    • Several new sounds for pursuit and eating.
    • Infected can grab their target, immobilizing them for a short time. Damage them to break free early.
    • Infected can now climb up walls to reach their target.
    • Infected can now target and destroy breakable objects in their way.
    • Infected can now eat zombifying corpses, and can eat extra to gain more health than what they spawned with.
  • Rebel and Medic equivalents of the Gas Mask Citizen.
  • A well-hidden easter egg...
Tweaks
  • Humans dying of the virus now turn blue.
  • Infected NPCs now emerge covered in blood.
  • Redone air waste effects (again).
  • Contamination zones produce significantly less infection.
Fixes
  • Fixed broken arms not reducing damage done by infected.
  • Fixed infected playing citizen death sounds.
  • Optimized gore effects.
  • Barrel gas and contamination zones now properly ignore armor.
  • Fixed players being able to pick up gibs.
  • Removed unused models and sounds.
  • Air waste now properly reverts the sky and fog of the map when it gets removed.
