Update 4
While trying to get my HE111 to fly I ended up having to use rotors.
I decided to try this on the P40
Since the rotor can adjust pitch - I hooked it up to the gyro - if you're careful you can take off without the gyro on - but when it is on the plane is VERY stable and easy to fly - you can even land without issue.
Rotors seem to be the magic bullet.

Update 3
I redid the body profile to look more like a p40 (i think)
Extended the tail back a bit (again)
Rebalanced play again (CG appears to like to be higher and not based on wing location ...strange)
Plane now takes off at a higher speed again - but seems to lift off rather than nose up as much as it was.
Updated paint scheme.

Update 2
Will now take off at low speeds - so go easy on the throttle
Made the tail longer
Tried to balance weight - but CG doesn't make since in this game...
Tried to create hiding landing gear but couldn't get it to work...

Update 1
WIP
Issues - She's not stable on take off yet
Do not full throttle her on take off.
Do a slow throttle and use elevator until lift off - once off the ground you can turn on gyro (I guess you can turn it off before take off too - but I'm trying to get it stable without gyro - like my B17G)

Landing gear is tender and a work in progress.
