Bug fixes

  • Prevented Perseverance and Polymorph from now proccing on permanent status effects. They will no longer ping quite so much on absolutely nothing in combat. What a blunder that was...
  • Made doubly sure Speed procs don't cause AP reductions
  • Removed Leadership SFX to prevent ear rape on multiprocs
  • Chain Pull can no longer doubleproc from Speed.

Balance changes

Version 3.0 - The "Attack on the Damage Meta" Update

TL;DR:
  • Might is the only damage stat now
  • Speed lets attacks AND skills repeat via a new RNGless system and Magic gives cooldown reset chance + status effect extension
  • No more armor from Might or Magic
  • Enemies now share all player abilities and attributes instead of using their own custom system
  • Taunt no longer causes players to lose control: instead, they take damage for 33% of max HP as physical if they target anything other than the taunter
  • Specialist got nerfed to basically only proc a max of once per turn cycle per point
  • A lot of abilities got changed in a lot of ways
  • Enemies now have status effects to warn you about their Berserky, Duelisty and Specialisty tendencies
  • Equipment no longer has requirements - whether weapons or armor.
  • Voidtouched got nerfed!
  • Voidtouched really got nerfed. More details below.

Attributes
  • Might physical armor boost removed
  • Might damage boost reduced to 7%
  • Speed damage boost removed
  • Speed movement boost increased to 4% from 3%
  • Speed now causes attacks and targetted spells to repeat on their targets if you have 6 more speed than they do.
  • Speed's effect may occur once per turn per 7 speed you have more than your target - if you have 14 more, you can get 2 repeats per turn.
  • Magic damage boost removed
  • Magic's magic armor boost removed
  • Magic now grants a 1% chance per point to reset all skill cooldowns upon using a skill
  • Magic now extends status effects by 1 turn for every 7 points of Magic the status applier has above the target's Magic
  • Magic now reduces status effects by 1 turn if the target has 7 Magic above the applier's Magic, to a minimum of 1 turn

Abilities
  • Aerothurge now provides a 3% chance to shock each enemy (rolled per character) within 20m upon using a skill or an attack per point
  • Summons' ability inheritance is now halved, rounding up
  • Specialist chance to proc decreases by 4% each time it procs, until your next turn
  • Perseverance now mirrors statuses instead of removing them
  • Perseverance now restores 3% of a character's physical and magic armor at turn start per point (credit to Manithro for the idea)
  • Berserk is no longer immune to disables.
  • Berserk no longer melts your brain with unnecessarily complex piercing damage shenanigans. Piercing damage has been removed.
  • Berserk no longer procs on tiny amounts of damage e.g. walking over surfaces. It may still proc on DoT tick damage at start of turn.
  • Berserk now only procs on vitality damage.
  • Berserk's proc chance has been raised back to 5% as a result of these conditions.
  • Leadership aura now only bonuses to resistance, dodging and movement
  • Leadership range is now 20m (for reference, default bow attack is 13m range)
  • Leadership now grants a 7% chance per point to share status effects applied to the leader by an ally (including yourself) with all allies affected by that leader's Leadership aura
  • Leadership also grants a 7% chance per point to extend status effects applied to a follower by an ally to the leader
  • As a hilarious side effect of this, allied players who try to grief Leaders by petrifying or stunning them will get to lay contently in the bed they made for themselves
  • Warfare now grants a Chain Pull skill during combat that allows the player to pull enemies to them. Range increases with level and cooldown decreases. Level 5 adds Bleeding and Level 10 adds Crippled. Range is absolutely worthless at level 1.
  • Chain Pull may or may not synergise with Ruptured Tendons... And I may or may not be encouraging you to make a torturer rogue build based around this.
  • Polymorph grants a 6% chance to shed all enemy-applied status effects upon application per point.

Skills (read: Voidtouched nerfs)
  • Voidtouched's Erase Armor damage multiplier brought down to 80 from 130
  • Voidtouched's Entropy damage multiplier brought down to 20 from 80, AP cost reduced to 2 from 3.
  • Voidtouched's Greater Purge cooldown raised to 5 from 3 and AP cost raised to 2 from 1
  • Voidtouched's Source Blast now costs 4AP (from 3AP) and has a 7 turn cooldown (from 5)
  • Voidtouched's Unmake now requires 40% vitality or less, and can furthermore only target applicable characters - no more targeting invalid characters, wasting 2SP and getting no effect
  • Voidtouched's Call of the Void now costs 1AP (from 0AP)
  • Erase Armor is now Voidtouched skill #3
  • Entropy is now Voidtouched skill #2

Enemies
  • Enemies now benefit from Perseverance.
  • Enemies now benefit from Specialist.
  • Enemies will now gain a status effect on combat start to make their benefitting from Specialist, Duelist and/or Berserk clear. (This is because these not visible to a loremaster)
  • Enemies now fully benefit from Might, Speed and Magic.
  • Enemies no longer benefit from the separate NPC damage boost from previous versions.
  • Enemies now benefit from Retribution's taunt effect. WAIT NO, DON'T RUN AWAY! I CAN EXPLAIN!:
  • Taunted players no longer lose control, but take 33% of their max HP as physical damage if they target anybody other than the character who taunted them. Pay attention, now!

Misc
  • Armor no longer requires stat investment: mages can wear leather without Speed and rogues can wear plate without Might, etc.

Bug fixes
  • This mod no longer has any incompatibilities with mods that overwrite the english localization xml file!
  • Berserk and Specialist no longer proc from disabled characters
  • Leadership no longer causes allies' armor to do the macarena
  • Warfare totems no longer prevent you from playing the game
  • Endurance no longer alters armor values during combat - this means no more armor regeneration exploits or bugs
  • Scoundrel no longer procs after 2 seconds of a character's leaving stealth or invisibility. This is plenty of time to use skills directly from either.

Known issues
  • Not all text fields for abilities are up to date. This is being worked on. For now, refer to the mod page and this changelog for information.

Changes from DOS2 vanilla
  • Lone Wolf increases to resistances and voidtouched are no longer halved.
  • Probably some other stuff I forgot lmao
