Update on 7/15/2025 2:00:40 PM.

Key Changes in This Update:
  • Full 1.6 Compatibility: The mod is now updated to work seamlessly with the latest version of RimWorld.

  • Complete Settings UI Rework: The mod options window has been rebuilt from the ground up. You can now use both a smooth slider for rough adjustments and a text box for precise, manual entry of values. The UI is cleaner, more informative with better tooltips, and much more intuitive to use.

  • Performance Optimization: The underlying code has been completely rewritten for much greater efficiency. This drastically reduces the mod's performance impact, especially in late-game colonies with many reactors, leading to a smoother game and higher TPS.

The Road Ahead: Meltdowns & Containment

Now that the mod is stable and performant, my next major focus is a feature I've always wanted in this mod but previously lacked the skill to properly implement: a proper meltdown and fallout system.

This entire system will be completely optional and customizable via the mod settings, so you can keep the classic, simple experience if you prefer. My goal is to make the experience customizable for everyone.

Here is the plan:
  • Consequences: Damaged reactors will go critical. A full meltdown will no longer be just a big explosion easily blocked by walls. It will release a new, dangerous Nuclear Fallout map condition that is more intense and persistent than standard toxic fallout.

  • Containment: The purpose of Containment Walls will be reworked. They will no longer be overpowered for general defense due to high HP. Instead, their true purpose will be to fully contain a reactor explosion and prevent the release of fallout, making reactor rooms mandatory if you don't want to risk it.

This will add a new layer of risk and strategic planning to the mod. I'm incredibly excited to start developing it and will keep you all updated on the progress.

Update: 19 Jan, 2023 @ 8:59am

Update on 1/19/2023 5:59:45 PM.

- Uranium Enrichment station now takes up less space in order to fit other workbenches better (from 4x2 to 4x1)
- Uranium Enrichment station is now minifiable (can be uninstalled and reinstalled)
- Uranium Enrichment station is now rotatable (due to the texture overlapping the walls, it'll appear glitched. Sadly the only thing I can do about this is either bring back the old workbench size (4x2) or change the texture up completely)

Disclaimer: This update and any future content updates will only affect the newest stable version of the game. Old versions will remain as is, but won't be updated.
