BLUFOR: First Scots Brigade:

-Royal Engineers woodland and temperate backpacks now have proper boonie hats inside.

Mod:

-after reevaluation of the developmental direction of the mod, all assets otherwise not associated with the First Scots Brigade or its direct opposition have been removed. That is, all First Scots Brigade: Special Forces Squadron, British Armed Forces, People's Republic of China, Brotherhood of Nod (post-Tiberium War I), Soviets Forces: Red Guard, Middle Eastern Forces, and Global Liberation Army: Scimitar Cell and their associated CIVFOR Incognito and Discreet Fighters have been removed. These assets have been preserved in remote saved config.cpp files and we are working on incorporating them into other mods under development, should they prove viable and useful.

-all vehicles, with the exception of fixed turrets such as mortars and M2 HMGs, have been removed at the request of unit leadership. The crew soldier entries have ben retained. This will allow the unit the flexibility to use vehicles from whatever mod dependencies are chosen without potentially losing assets should the current dependencies be changed.

-all non-functional assets including the L134 Automatic Grenade Launcher and any experimental entries have been removed.


BLUFOR: First Scots Brigade:

-BLUFOR forces have been overhauled and updated to maintain a standard established by leadership elements of the First Scots Brigade/Black Watch Battalion. All assets currently functional.

-Woodland uniforms added.

-Sniper (L135A1) and associated Sniper Team composition group added.

-Mortar crews now include L16 and M6 crews with "launcher" bags provided by 3CB: British Armed Forces. Compositions include both "deployed" mortars in the form of "turrets" and otherwise mobile mortars preloaded into visible bags.

-Recruit entities are now considered Combat Medics, Combat Engineers, can carry backpacks, and can disarm explosives in the same manner as Instructor entries. This is done so that the individuals who participate in training environments will have all potential skills unlocked for the purposes of practicing these skill sets.

-backpacks and specific assets have had their uniform-specific designations removed (i.e., "Antitank Soldier (M3, Temperate)" is now referred to as "Antitank Soldier (M3)" at the display name level only).

-preview images for turrets and vehicles adjusted to account for common vehicles used across multiple forces.

-position of lead units for some vehicle platoons adjusted so that the platoon leader assumes a position in the center of the unit formation rather than at one of the ends.

-all custom body armor vests added to mod configuration entry fields in CfgPatches allowing for usage in Zeus (may improve functionality).

-Combat Medic (Kollam Protocol) redesignated and relabeled with weight of variant Combat Medic (33.02kg) at the class, macro, and name levels for ease of deployment for Zeus operators. Issue with Spray Paint and Earplugs in backpacks identified and addressed.

-Combat Medic variant weighing 29.21kg has been added at the request of new medical personnel. It is designated "Combat Medic (29.21kg)."

-M67 Frag Grenades and M18 Colored Smoke Grenades replaced with L109A2 Hand Grenades and L-numbered Colored Smoke Grenades.

-issue with Antitank Soldiers (M3) identified and addressed. CUP ammo rounds had been loaded into backpacks on account of space, while RHS-based MAAWs launchers were given to Antitank Soldiers. This caused severe misfires and rockets to fly off-target. RHS launchers now use RHS ammo following effectiveness testing. As a result, maximum ammo count of Antitank Soldiers (M3) has been reduced from 5 rounds to 4 rounds.

-all Temperate-uniformed soldiers and backpacks renamed at the class and macro level to denote their uniforms - this will result in any scenarios using temperate-uniformed soldiers to require the temperate-uniformed soldiers to be reloaded. Apologies for the inconvenience. This change is necessary to prepare for woodland uniforms.

-all mortar "turret" operators replaced with Mortar Specialists.

-all AH-1Z Cobras and desert uniform-based UH-60M (EWS) helicopter now function in Zeus.

-M113A3 (M2/Early) class and macro names corrected. Deployment functionality verified.

-based on new intelligence provided by NATO and the British Armed Forces, Tank Crewman loadouts have been modified: Tank Crewmen now carry the L22A2 Carbine, 3 extra magazines, 5 Cables Ties, and their body armor visually depicts loaded magazines.

-all Support Personnel now carry AN/PRC-152 radios instead of default Radios.

Special Forces Squadron:

-Section Leader, Team Leader, Antitank Soldier (NLAW), Antiair Soldier, Point Man, Urban Operator (L92A1 SMG), Combat Medic, Sniper, Spotter, Demolitions Specialist, and Helicopter Pilot added for the sake of completing the section roles, as I do not leave tasks unfinished. Composition group Fire Team and Sniper Team added. These assets serve as a neutral template for generic Special Forces without claiming association with any Special Service associated with the British Armed Forces. Their loadouts of course can be changed by mission-makers.
-a customized body armor vest based on the original CTRG Plate Carrier Rig Mk.2 (Heavy) has been implemented to make the vest on par with a balance between the 3CB: British Armed Forces Osprey Mk. II and Mk. IV body armor vests.

-current uniforms, vests, helmets, and backpacks changed to adopt a more neutral standard rather than adapting to any particular uniform style based on terrain. Unit preview portraits updated accordingly.

-Grenadier now carries a wider range of smoke grenades and a black assault backpack.

Support Personnel:

-Mortar Team Leader, Specialist (undesignated and M252 Gun Bag), Loader (undesignated and M252 Tripod Bag), Technician (desert and MTP), and Instructor (plain, desert, MTP) added. The Mortar Team Leader has a loadout similar to the Team Leader (Radio) except that he is armed with an SA80 L22 Carbine, more pistol magazines, fewer primary magazines, and no tracer rounds.

-M252 81mm Mortar added. This mortar is historically the base system for the British Armed Forces L16 Mortar. By ARMA mechanics, the CUP M252 and the 3CB: British Armed Forces mortars are the same caliber, range, and explosive potential. The only difference is the L16 has a wider array of round types available, but the CUP mortar relies on a traditional "magazine"-based system to handle ammunition and seems simpler to operate.


First Scots Brigade: British Allies Forces:

Mod Introduction:

-A massive amount of vehicles have been incorporated with custom crews into the unit mod for several forces. Some vehicle categories are denoted by the uniforms of their crews.


BLUFOR: First Scots Brigade:

-Leadership sub-category added, which now includes Donk (Dear Leader) leadership entity and custom patch to be used for future scenarios.

-Royal Engineers (with and without radio) added. Colored smoke grenades have been added to backpacks. Composition group Royal Engineers Team and Mechanized Infantry Platoon added.

-M2 HMG, Mk. 19 Grenade Launcher, M6 Mortar, and L16 Mortar added.

OPFOR: People's Republic of China: People's Liberation Army:

-Rifleman uniform adjusted to account for changes to PROJECT OPFOR. AK-74 replaced with VHS-D2. While the VHS-D2 is a Croatian rifle and is not exactly the QBZ-95, the standard assault rifle of the PLA, it is close enough-for now.

OPFOR: Brotherhood of Nod:

-all forces now have loadouts assigned to uniforms, which failed previously due to the lack of a "AddItemToUniform" entry in unit configurations.

Desert Rats:

-Rocket Soldier (M3 and FIM-92), Combat Medic, Shotgun Soldier, Radioman, Sniper, Spotter, Demolitions Specialist, and Designated Squad Marksman added.

-Composition groups Fire Team and Sniper Team added.

-personnel should have 6 primary rifle magazines, 4 secondary sidearm magazines, 2 red smoke grenades, and 2 white smoke grenades assigned to the vest. Leaders with laser designators should have batteries. In several cases, not all of the magazines were being assigned to the vest. This has been corrected with "AddItemToVest" entries in all soldier entries in the config.cpp file.

Elite Cadre:

-primary weapon configuration now accounts for underbarrel foregrip.
