God help me. Why is everything a frustrating mess????

Update: 28 Dec, 2019 @ 1:16pm

OG Description - This description was here back in 2019, so I figured to keep it here as an Archive of old, good times' sake. Here it was:

READ THE DESCRIPTION FIRST!

I've finally done it. After two years of abusing my powers of sheer autism and brain-dead bang-head-on-wall perseverance, this is my first, official, published addon and I hope it will forever be my last. This is it. I don't ever want to deal with the Gmod workshop again.

Before you even launch Gmod, please understand that there are more unhexed and untried/unattempted skins for the werewolf model for skyrim.

I got these from the Moonlight Tales mod for Skyrim, which is a pretty good Werewolf mod. I highly recommend it if you still play skyrim;

So, WITH. THAT. SAID - the textures in question were made by the following people;
NsJones
KrittaKitty
Fiszi
Jeremy Hamilton / artifex0 (Could not get his Natural werewolf skin texture to work. Good luck trying)
Foxcraft7
Bellyache / wrig675

The original model is Bethesda's copyright, but if any of you remember who made the original Gmod port, my f-ing hat's off for you man.

All the hexxing ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ for the Gmod Werewolf skins has been done by me - DaFrontlineSpecter, and write it down, because this was... Not worth the two years of effort I put in.

Q.) So, speaking of these models, how are they?

A.) Abso- ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ -lutely broken. These hexes work 50% of 90% of the time I work on them to the point I don't want to touch them anymore (especially the timber skins). I'm leaving the materials in for anyone who wants to try their hand at it, but I'm not going to even think about touching the coding work for them anymore.

I don't want to hex another thing in my life, and I now have a deeper appreciation for our addon creator overlords.

Q.) Is it ok to work on these models or share these models with other people to help you complete these?

A.) If you know what they're doing? Sure, as long as you let me know beforehand so I can give you all the "thumbs-up".

Also, I have the original folder containing THE ENTIRE SKYRIM-TO-SOURCE CONVERSION for the skins and models containing the entirety of two-years of effort. So... Yea. Give me a ping and I'll send you the download link to it for you to "have fun" with trying to fix. Trust me. It'll save you alot of work.

Outside of that, HELL NO. I AIN'T GIVING ANYONE ANYTHING!

Q.) Can I please use these for my RP server or as part of server content?

A.) As if the previous question wasn't enough of an answer, let me re-state this crystal clear; HELL. NO.
And if I see it reuploaded anywhere else, you bet I'll be striking it out of existence.

Q.) Why are you on the edge?

A.) Because I've stayed-up late entire weeks at a time, for TWO YEARS to work on these little ♥♥♥♥♥, and I'm tired from it and I just want to be done with it all. This whole thing only exists because I wanted to see some more variations of the werewolf skins in Gmod, but no one else wanted to do it, so I literally made it exist out of sheer force of will.

Wanna know the process?

1st thing; the skins were BARELY VISIBLE converting it to vtf. I had to ctrl+C, ctrl+V it into visible existence in GIMP 2.0 from it's png form just so I could see it. Skyrim's textures has a bunch of shenanigans with it, and I still don't know why I had to take that extra step. Oooohhh, if I only knew how many extra steps I'd be taking to make this thing.

Of my inconveniences with this... "project", this was the easiest.

2nd: Hexxing.

Every single individual skin had to have it's own individual model. "Okay" I thought to myself. "I'll just put the models and materials into their respective paths so they could find each other easier. Hahahaha. Uh... Yea. No. Not that easy.

I manually re-worked EVERY SINGLE INDIVIDUAL FILE to work with it's corresponding material/skin using the "tools of the trade".
There's 10 total models, with several files per skin per model (fur, mouth, skin, and so forth)... For 10 folders... You do the math.

And then there was trying to upload the damn thing.

All I have to say is "Yup. More shenanigans to deal with!"

Steam's workshop help page is laughably outdated, and alot of the tools I ended-up using to make this, I didn't know existed when I first started on it. So for the first year and a half, I was trying to do this the old-fashioned way (as in the pre-2010 way). And I have not even got into detail of any of these processes, mis-haps, or other plentiful shenanigans... Such as accidentally deleting months of progress and rebuilding from scratch and so on.

Hopefully I never have to upload to the workshop again.

I did this for an achievement, and frankly, I don't think it was worth two years of effort.
