Update: 2 Aug, 2024 @ 6:27pm

Big update, basically Wetlands 2.0!

1. Swamp is now a feature instead of a resource, as originally intended.
- Counts as floodplains, will spawn in floodplain areas on tiles without resources and prefer locations with fewer adjacent river edges and those next to woods, marsh, savannah (if available), and especially rainforest.
- Can spawn on Plains and Desert, but will mainly appear on Grass and Tundra.
- +1 Production, additional yields from floods possible but less likely than for basic floodplains tiles.
- +1 defense modifier (combination of -2 for Marsh and +3 for Rainforest).
- Requires more movement and blocks vision, just like like Woods or Rainforest.
- -1 Appeal. Affected by the Biospère Appeal bonus.
- Can still be improved by Reed Homes.
- Can be harvested for the same yields as Rainforest once Iron Working is researched, which will replace it with regular floodplains (fitting the terrain).
- Receives extra Science from Zoos.
- Counts for the Choke Points promotion.
- Grants a standard adjacency bonus to Campuses.
- Is included in Ptolemaic Cleopatra's, Vietnam's, and Ba Trieu's ability. Vietnamese districts can be built on Swamp, granting bonus Food per building.
- Improved Swamp vegetation visuals. Now uses reeds asset already in the game. Also added some Marsh decals underneath.

2. Lady of the Reeds and Marshes has been updated.
- Extended to *all* floodplains tiles, including Swamps.
- Bonus reduced to +1 Production.
- Will overwrite but should otherwise not cause any further issues with other mods changing this pantheon.

3. Other changes
- Peat is now improved by Farms instead of Quarries. This makes it easier to form continuous Farm areas in your floodplains for better adjacency. Also looks better.
- Fixed some text for Tundra Floodplains not being mentioned everywhere they should be.

Update: 1 May, 2024 @ 8:15pm

Added support for other mods extending Farm bonuses to Oasis Gardens and Irrigation Farms.

Update: 21 Mar, 2023 @ 8:20am

updated for Ptolemaic Cleopatra to work with Tundra Floodplains.

Update: 27 Apr, 2021 @ 6:21am

fixed Etemenanki yields on Tundra Floodplains

Update: 25 Apr, 2021 @ 1:45pm

Etemenanki can now be built on Tundra Floodplains.

Update: 24 Jan, 2021 @ 6:24am

- two new improvements: Irrigation Farm (Desert Floodplains) and Reed Home (all other Floodplains and Marsh). See first picture for an impression.
- no more extra Food for Canada on Tundra Floodplains, instead Tundra Floodplains now give an extra Food in general.
- Farms can no longer be built on simple Marsh tiles with Mercantilism. Making marshes arable was the hard work of generations, having to remove the feature first is rather authentic.
- added compatibility for p0kiehl's Better Pantheons, Lady of the Reeds and Marshes++, Precinct of Amun-Ra, Latin American Resources, and Resourceful 2.
